Brazil does not permit abortion, yet there are over a million a year there.

Would you really trade dictatorship for a ban on abortions and the sad fact of underground abortion mills?

Abortion is NOT the gulags, nor will it ever be to most sane people, no matter how abhorrent we find the practice.

This is why a few pro-life people really are not conservatives except on that issue. That you'd betray the principles of the party for ONE issue(ANY issue) says a lot, I think.

Dictatorship?

Is that what the Democratic Party of the United States is?

Those are the people who will win if the Republicans do not support pro-life judges and the pro-life voters stay home.

Not dictators. Not communists. American Democrats.

A dictatorship? Laughable.

That's not what's at stake. It's a fantasy straw man.

What is at stake, on the one side, is winning the War on Terror, reasonable tax laws, an ownership society, the whole Republican agenda, and the end of the Holocaust of Infants.

And on the other side, is the loss of the Republican agenda because the Republicans betrayed a core constituency.

Nobody would be worried about this now were Arlen Specter not about to take over Judiciary. Pro-lifers trust President Bush and the Republican Party, now.

Rather than fight about this and march out the parade of the horribles, the easy, sensible thing is for the Republicans to do exactly what they campaigned on and promised: elevate the pro-life judges. That means getting Specter out of the way and using the nuclear option.

There is nothing hard about this at all.
The only reason that the crack has opened is because the Republicans are, mysteriously, allowing Specter to take over Judiciary. This is offensive and idiotic.

You don't even know what conservative is, it has nothing to do with libertine freedom payed for by the blood of the innocent. That you are more loyal to a political party than the murder of innocence says everything.

The day the conservative party does not value the life of children is the day I leave the party. I am one issue on that. Take it or leave it.

I don't want my tax dollars paying for some persons murder. I am socially and ecomonically (fiscally?)conservative (to a point on the latter).
