If you didn't read the entire article, please read it. Miller is STILL a very young man...and from the description of his life in Kentucky, a very normal, rural type, too. Read how his hometown was named, etc. His mama is only 39; she must have had him at an early age. I can just hear her calling him to supper, "Jimmy-Blake, come on in. Supper's on the table!"

Good story; I really hope he makes it home O.K.

She's 39; he's 20. That would make her a mother at 19. Not so unusual.

She had him when she was 19. I had my oldest when I was 20.

I am remembering my thoughts about my son when he was that age. He joined the Marines, too, but blew out a knee.

I was so proud of him for joining. Thankfully, I never had to deal with combat. I don't know how I would have held up.

God bless this mom and her son. They do us proud!
