I think from the accent it was a British reporter which as I said earlier would fit as the British press constantly refer to Blair as Bush's Poodle.

I wish the Pres. would have said something like, "Well, we already have Barney, and the new puppy is coming in December, and I really don't like poodles anyway, so NO, YOU JERK, HE'S NOT MY POODLE!"

or, Tony could have turned to W and panted like a puppy, while W. patted his head and said, "Good boy", but unfortunately the press would have taken it seriously. Jerks.
