President Bush and Prime Minister Blair met today in the Oval Office and had lunch together after a 30 minute Press conference where the two men spoke about their mutual commitment to win the war on terror and a peaceful settlement to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict
ENJOY YOUR VISIT TO SANITY ISLAND!
I think from the accent it was a British reporter which as I said earlier would fit as the British press constantly refer to Blair as Bush's Poodle.
Time to change your tagline!
I hear he's up over 60 million now!
God bless that wonderful man.
I think it was one of Blair's.
I wish the Pres. would have said something like, "Well, we already have Barney, and the new puppy is coming in December, and I really don't like poodles anyway, so NO, YOU JERK, HE'S NOT MY POODLE!"
or, Tony could have turned to W and panted like a puppy, while W. patted his head and said, "Good boy", but unfortunately the press would have taken it seriously. Jerks.
And don't you love how their suits are almost identical? Good taste, both of them. :-) And the Pres. is FINALLY wearing my favorite blue shirt again. :-)
I haven't "seen" you here before--WELCOME!
How old are your kids?
Great job, Mike. President Bush looked relaxed, confident, wind-at-his-back today. I get the impression that Blair ministers to Bush in encouragement and friendship as much as in the commitment to promoting and planting freedom around the world.
Tony Blair looks like he's under pressure. The people of Britain are very fortunate they have this man at this time -- regarding their national security, that is.
I think there's a name but I don't know what . . . IIRR, at the end of that hall is the staircase that goes up to the residence.
Thoughts on the Peterson verdict? Other than a very powerful statement that unborn children are BABIES???
They seem to revel in each other's company.
Hello!
Hope you both are well and had a good day!
Hi there! I've been around awhile but am selective where I post. Don't want to open my mouth too often for fear that something stupid will come out of it!! :-) I have fewer brain cells than I did before kids. They are 6 and 4...a boy and a girl. They are equally amazing in their own unique way.(as they "nah nah nah nah nah" each other in the background...grrrrrrr) How about you?

Please pray for our leader.
I agree with you unfortunately the majority of the Briish public get their news from the soundbites of evening news headlines. Current affairs are not high on the agenda of the average Brit.
Okay...see? Missing a few brain cells. I just clicked on your name and read your profile. Love it! I agree about the being at home. I can't imagine being anywhere else. In 20 years I will not look back and have any regrets about being there to watch my children learn and grow.
Morals are another thing not high on the British agenda unfortunately if you remember my first few posts on the dose this was to do with that very subject and how I felt that there was a spiritual and moral awakening in the States that we just do not have in Britain anymore. This I feel is by no small measure due to the last four years of the Bush administration.
Thanks for the ping
Well, I open my mouth often and occasionally stupid things come out. :-) But that doesn't stop me! LOL!
I'll have a teenage son next week---AHHHHHHHHHHH! I've been getting advice and encouragement from moms of teens here on the Dose. We also have a daughter, who will be 12 in Dec. Yep, they change all the time. Right now they're getting along fine, but they have their "moments" too. Isn't it amazing that just when you get used to a stage, it changes?? But there are great things about every stage.
FReepmail to you in a minute--
The last time I tried to send best wishes to the PM, the site indicated that the function I wished to employ was unavailable.
I think it would be nice of all of us here to send our encouraging sentiments to Mr. Blair. I'll try again, and post links if succesful.
He should have responded to that question with something like,
"The media (including the organization you work for) is sometimes characterized as an irrelevant, dishonest purveyor of liberal propaganda. Is that the way you see it?"
RE: watching kids grow . . . I can honestly say that I've enjoyed something about every stage, and it just gets better as they get older and more independent! (although neither of mine drive or date yet . . . that could be different . . . )
