I heard on the radio this morning that Navy corpsmen are serving with the Marines on the ground in Fallujah. All the services are doing their part in this war.
Navy Corpsmen have always served with the marines. The marines have no corpsmen (medics) of their own
I think the Navy has always assigned corpsmen to Marines. I think the Marines don't grow their own because they never think they'll need them!

I know this will be a repeat by the time it is posted, but Corpsmen ALWAYS fight alongside the Corps. Navy Corpsmen? All Corpsmen are USN. God Bless them all!

Well better later then not at all. Yes, there are even Navy Corpsmen that have been temp assigned to jobs such as snipers. I read about one that did at the main OIF section on the Marine Corps. web site.
Do be aware, that the Marines are a sub branch of the Navy.
Quite often the two work hand in hand, share schools, bases etc.. Navy Corpsmen have been saving Marine lives for many many years during conflicts. They are often working on someone as the bullets wizz by their ears. They deserve all our respect.
