well for starters... I think the insurance will pay off the existing mortgage. Remember, the Peterson's borrowed more money off the house thinking they will win. NOT!!!

So, pending any other assets... the Petersons might not get anything else, but owe on the wrongful death lawsuit. Millions?????

OH yes!~
Wrngful death lawsuits.
I would sue 'em, not sure
Sharon is as mean. :)

Yes, now that you mentioned it,
I do recall that they borrowed
MORE against Laci's house. Oh boy.
This is getting GOOD.

runningbear, you probably know better than I since you still live there, but since Calif. is a community property state and Laci and Scott acquired the house after their marriage I think Scott (even though) he killed Laci half of the property is still his. Therefore his parents probably borrowed on his half.

Now the life insurance is a different story. Since he killed her he will not collect off that.

After this devestating loss, Jackie Peterson's "we want those" sort of rings hollow huh? The Peterson's behaviour throughout this entire ordeal has been low class and appalling. Their actions could NOT have been any more cruel to the Rocha family. So Justice was served up today.
