Source: Peterson jury foreman wanted to be taken off panel
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (Court TV) — The foreman dismissed from the jury deliberating murder charges against Scott Peterson Wednesday asked to be removed from the panel, a source close to the case told Court TV anchor Kimberly Guilfoyle Newsom.
"This juror wanted off the case," Guilfoyle Newsom reported Thursday.
The panelist, identified as Gregory Jackson, 46, quit the jury after his fellow jurors said they wanted another panelist to lead them, the source told Guilfoyle Newsom.
"He was removed as the foreperson and then decided he wanted off the case," Guilfoyle Newsom said.

The courthouse was closed Thursday because of the Veteran's Day holiday and jurors remained in sequestration at their hotel. The panel is not permitted to discuss the case except in the jury room........

Well bear maybe, just maybe, with Ahnold as your Governor the issue of fast tracking the death penalty could be addressed. I doubt it will ever reach fast but perhaps he could get it out of the stall mode.!!

After this devestating loss, Jackie Peterson's "we want those" sort of rings hollow huh? The Peterson's behaviour throughout this entire ordeal has been low class and appalling. Their actions could NOT have been any more cruel to the Rocha family. So Justice was served up today.

I rejoice with all of you at the verdict reached today.

I'm thinking death for him, because of the death he preplanned for his wife and child.
Spunky I actually think that it was Laci's idea to do the nautical theme to PLEASE her monster husband. She was a sincerely loving wife, concerned about her husbands likes and tastes, trying to be the perfect wife, and all the time, he secretly hated her. What a sweet irony this verdict is, the murder planned to gain him complete freedom but in reality caused to lose complete freedom and maybe even his life.
Just like Scott didn't show up when they identified the bodies of his wife and son. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, does it?

My husband's, niece's son, also just arrived in Iraq. He graduated last year and went into the Marines. I just received word he is helping with supplies in the fighting going on in Fallujah.

Right where he belonged. That neither his father nor attorney showed up for sentencing says something dreadful about Scott, one would think. Or perhaps Lee was on Mark's case about the lousy job he'd done prior to today. Maybe Lee fired him, which would explain his absence from court. And might be some kind of set-up for an appeal or bid for mistrial.
And he would know this how....
It's true that the defense and DA is told why each juror was bounced, however, they are gagged, officially.
