But now, The turks are laing low, they really want to get into the EU(for unknown reasons). But once in there they will have little power over the Brussels bureaucratic machine, and it will tame them.

The Euro's don't have to fight at least not combat.They can fight effectively in the UN and by denying the US the use of Euro bases, Euro sea lanes and NATO forces. But without the UK closing Gibraltar, could be some naval action. I think France has a good navy, good enough to break supply lines in the med at least. Don't know much about Turkey's navy but I doubt it could stand up to the USN.

I hope your right, but it opens up some interesting scenarios for Europe regarding further muslim immigration etc...If Turkey did go to an Islamic rule it would create quite a clash of EU vs. Islamic law. I don't think the Poles would dig that at all.
