If their desire is to manufacture votes for Kerry by examining "spoiled" ballots, a recount won't do that. All a recount does is... well, recount the votes. I believe that is already being done in the official canvassing process.

Go ahead, recount the votes. Bush will still win and the left will still be a bunch of pathetic losers.

The candidates also demanded that Ohio Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell, a Republican who chaired the Ohio Bush campaign, recuse himself from the recount process.

He was elected to be the Secretary of State -- the guy who handles voting. It's his job. Also, he ran as a Republican. AND HE WON.

That's like asking the president to recuse himself from being commander in chief in a controversial war.

GIMMEABREAK! Are these people stupid!

Isn't is strange they don't want to investigate the vote totals in Pennsylvania or Wisconsin...?! Or Michigan!

Doesn't the vote count in Ohio have to be within 0.25% in order for there to be a recount?

Ohio's election proceedings were marred by numerous press and independent reports of voter intimidation, mis-marked and discarded ballots, problems with electronic voting machines and disenfranchisement -- apparently by design -- of African-American voters.

This can't be from a legitimate news service (assuming there are any left).

The bias in this sentence is flashing in red.

Yep, we sure don't want anyone who actually supports a free republic on a forum named Freerepublic.
The new motto: "Freerepublic.com, where expedience trumps principle."

That's for an automatic recount. They're free to demand a recount - if they pay for the cost of doing it.

A recount, by itself, doesn't change anything. They just stick the ballots back in the machines and run the numbers again.

The hand recount fiasco in Florida 2000 came as a result of election lawsuits by Gore.

Hey, Don King said Bush won fair and square, he lives in Ashtabula and he wasn't dis-enfranchised. So that does it for me.

They had visions of there NEVER being a Republican as
President again, and promises of Bill Clintonesque
escapades in the White House once more, the aura of the
"rich" Teresa as - finally - a First Lady who was
classy - total freedom so that Hollywood could pursue
the goal of making every production a tour through the
DU Language Encyclopedia - Nirvana - and they are sad
because they are puzzled their knight in shining armor,
Kerry, has not once again "rup-ported fer dooty" to
forcibly remove the evil * from the job.

What is that noise I hear, the sound of harmonizing - - -
THUMB SUCKING?!! Is that what it is?!
