Thank you AG...God bless them.
Thank you and all of yours for your service...and for your sentiments regarding the RVN. Thank you to the Swifties for serving so well...twice. Before in Nam...and again here during this election. They have set both examples...of selfless military service and of dedicated civic service. God bless them all.
Amen! And ... bump!
It is also said that before the final words were spoken, and the famous Molon Labe uttered, that Xerxes told Leonidas that he had so many archers to assail the Spartans with that their arrows would darken the sky and blot out the son.
...to which Leonidas replied, "Then we shall fight in the shade!"

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "FORWARD OPERATING BASE MACKENZIE, Iraq Staff Sgt. Paul Sponsel and Sgt. Charles Fray stood stiff and unsmiling as the general shook their hands and congratulated them for their courage."
That is great...we have great great something that was in the Revolutionary War. They had no money to pay him and he was given land in Indiana instead.
Ahhh, what a nice post that was. May your dad sleep in peace too and thanks to him for all he did in support of freedom.
Amen. Amen. Amen.
Thank you...for your sentiments and for your kind words regarding my Dad. I know he is resting in Peace because he was true to his duty, to his family, to his country and to his God...his whole life long.
I think the country (most of it) has gone through a cathartic change and have reconnected with the military after the damage done by the likes of John Kerry and the VVAW creeps.
Although I never made it to Vietnam, (not for lack of trying)and spent most all of my three years of duty from 1969-72 in West Germany, I have carried this horrid guilt for all these years that someone I should know died in my place. I carried the burden of this and still do, but now I am more content with it.
That content stems from the fact that the guy who died in my place has the respect and admiration that were denied to him for reasons I can not yet fully comprehend.
Then again, I fail to see the reasons for a great deal of things. I suppose that is why I try to give it all to God and let him sort it out.
I thank you, and that other guy thanks you, for thanking us.
I think that made sense.............................
Not me, the dang spell checker did it!
May the Lord keep safe our soldiers in battle, and may He comfort their family and friends at home.
And may God bless America.

Wow. I want to say God bless you.....but, obviously, HE already has.....you've been blessed with a good heart, compassion, a wonderful wife....
thank you for what you did......you've made this fellow American feel very proud. Your good deed will be returned to you many fold.
Thank you, Dad, my dear late step-dad and my father-in law (USAF) and to my uncle and cousin and friend, Sharon, in Iraq (USMC). And to all vets eveywhere...you are my heroes!
Amen Jeff.
I thank you all that have served this great nation, past and present.
You are in my prayers always.
Thank you for defending our freedom. Thank you!
God bless you.
