'Today's' Man Speaks - "She's Brilliant!" (Perky Katie has a new young boyfriend! He blows!)

MOVE over Matt — Katie Couric's new squeeze is a boyish-looking jazz trumpeter named Chris Botti.

The musician, 42, who has opened for pop star Sting and is promoting his own CD, told USA Today that he's nuts about the morning show pixie.

"She's brilliant and beautiful and really, really fun," Botti says of Couric, 47. She knows about music, "but then, she's up on everything. She's so intelligent."

Rumors about Botti and Couric have been swirling for weeks. She recently broke up with Red Sox co-owner/media mogul Tom Werner.

Couric first met Botti on the set of the "Today" show a few years ago when he showed up to play backup for an appearance by Sting. They were more properly introduced a few weeks ago at a party in New York and have been dating ever since, he says.

Botti has been named one of People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People," and has worked with Joni Mitchell, Natalie Merchant and other music stars. He joined Paul Simon's band in 1990 and worked with the singer for five years....

You are exactly right (Botti = Kenny G.)
Ugggh!
I wonder if he's ever seen Couric w/o makeup on. When I did, I thought I was watching 'THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY' in fast-forward. Hideous!

Chris Botti blows a good horn.

Not as good as Miles, but still pretty good.

He needs to improve, however, his female companionship......

"In other words: "... as gay as a spring day." :)"

Agreed, or bi-metro-sexual at the very least.

That is one thing I have never had to worry about, being called beautiful by any measure.

Ya know, we women on this site put up, silently, with pictures of Ann Coulter, the Fox Babes, Catherine Zeta Jones, and of course, Anna Kournikova every single day. ONE LOUSY thread with a picture of a good looking guy and ya'll have to go ruin it for us. Yeesh.
