Off the subject (kind of) --- Chrissy Mathews is discussing the resignations right now.
He said the problem with Ashcroft is because he was linked to Patriot Act. Then he said that Ashcroft made people uncomfortable to be around, lost a Senatorial race to a dead man (then he laughed). Then he was too religious (where have we heard that before?)
Then, he said the main people upset about the Patriot Act are middle American Huh? But, he said of course the NAME Patriot probably turned them off!! This guy needs to buy a clue!
clairification -- he said "middle American REPUBLICANS!"
Screw Mathews. He doesn't have a clue what was going on here at that time. His a$$ was in that studio up there in New York City.
