So what do those of us who opposed the President do now?
Even though he ran on a platform of fear, we must not be afraid. We must resist the Bushies' Christian jihad that could lead to an America that not just our European friends, but we ourselves no longer recognize.
Arlen Specter makes me optimistic. A Republican who is set to take over the chairmanship of the Senate Judiciary Committee, he's telling the Bushies that he does not want to see judicial nominees who are extremists from the right.
So there may be hope yet for the U.S. Supreme Court as Bush nominates as many as four justices who for the rest of their lives will make decisions that affect our lives and those of our descendants.

There was some caller on Medved today, saying how Bush has a relationship with a dead person (Jesus). People that carry on a relationship with dead people should be in the looney bin - they are "dissalusional and illogical". And certainly a "dissalusional and illogical" person shouldn't be president.
(I was thinking that they shouldn't call into national talk shows either!)

Fear: Republicans are going to tap your phones and bug your bedrooms
Fear: Republicans are going to take money from the "poor" and give it to the "rich".
