The "Fallujah Brigade" had to be tried out. Perhaps it was a bit premature, perhaps there were mistakes in implementing, and the next time the results will be a bit more useful - but in the long run, that is the only way to gain and maintain peace in Iraq.

Exactly, someday the US will be gone from Iraq. Heck I don't care if the Iraqis set up a new dictatorship as long as they leave the US and their neighbors alone.

The Iraqis either step up and support democracy or not. We are giving them this chance. The ought to look at Germany and see the benefits of long term US military installations.
