"I believe a C-130 is a cargo plane..."If you should ever see one with lots of pointy things sticking out of the side and flying 'round you in a hard bank; you'll know better.

C-130 is a converted gun platform and was called Puff the Magic Dragon in Nam.Gatling uns chew up the landscape with multiple cannon fire.
I think it is called a AC-130.
C does stand for cargo in the A.F.

I say we should appoint a FReeper to go be an embedded reporter for FR, so they can post from a laptop in the field to keep us updated!I volunteer. Have laptop. And weapons.

CNN, Brig Gen David Grange, Analyst, says a plan is in place ready to begin rebuilding as soon as the insurgency is killed off.

The AC-130Hs call sign is Spectre. The AC-130Us call sign is Spooky. The U-model is the third generation of C-130 gunships. All gunships evolutionized from the first operational gunship, the AC-47.

I wouldn't be a good embed reporter. I would be too inclined to grab a 60 and start shooting lol

well, it's a good thing the election campaign is over or the MSM wouldn't be showing anything at all... (just interviewing enemy "doctors" to count civ casualties)

bunched too close, dammit!
that's the bitch of door-to-door urb-ops: tactical spacing is difficult to maintain

Regarding all the names for military operations, I have a suggestion to resolve the strange, strange circumstances surrounding Arafat's "he's dead, "he's not" situation.
Call it:
"OPERATION BURY ME".

Great idea. Especially since they are so convinced that we are the oppressors of the women and children over there. They could take a trip to "F-town" and ensure that we are treating the Iraqi citizens fairly.

There was a Marine firing from inside the building as well. That's what was kicking up the dust in that shell hole.

Any news on Scott Peterson? The Marines shoved him into the breech of a tank gun and fired him at the jihadists.
To: Bahbah
I'm being subjected to inanities about Scott Peterson. of course we ALL KNOW that is because there are no car chases to report.

Almighty and eternal God, those who take refuge in you will be glad and forever will shout for joy. Protect these soldiers as they discharge their duties. Protect them with the shield of your strength and keep them safe from all evil and harm. May the power of your love enable them to return home in safety, that with all who love them, they may ever praise you for your loving care. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen and Amen, in Jesus name.

Our guys know where they are, and can call in precision strikes on the locations. Might have missed this but can we blow up "holy" sites? Those will be their last place of refuge.
To: 68-69TonkinGulfYachtClub
I suspect that there is very little information in this particular battle that the nasty guys would be able to glean from FR that they will not be able to see for themselves. The situation is completely a tactical one, so it is unlikely we're going to have to worry too much about what is posted here today.
