There is a reason for that.
The population growth in America is mostly from nontaxpayers and welfare groupies.
That is fact.
Taxpayers just are not having kids (relative to nontaxpayers).
I hear what your saying but it's been my belief that the Slacker-American (how's that for hyphenation) is by far the biggest drain on federal resources, much more so than the illegals, and even when immigration enforcement cost are considered. Just my opinion.
This is a depressing fact indeed (bulk of real taxpayers not having enough children). It also doesn't help much that this issue is very tricky to discuss without "racist" charges flying. I look at my own situation and low and behold I'm part of the problem - I'm 34 and my wife (32) and I are about to have our first child. At most we may have 2 more kids eventually, but most people in our category (white, well-educated, dual income of $150K +) are only having 1 or 2 kids. I live in one of the most if not the most expensive areas to live in the U.S. (Boston)- so that doesn't help. I would love to have more kids but we just can't afford too (I'll need all the extra money I can muster for private school tuition).
How do we discuss this issue on a national level without being called racist? Ideas? Thoughts?
