Which Fox News anchors/reporters/pundits/hosts do you think are really, sincerely right-leaning? (VANITY)
We probably all prefer Fox News over CNN, CNBC, the network news shows, etc.
But I was wandering as I was watching the election night coverage and Brit Hume seemed so giddy with excitement when Bush started to pull away - what are the true political leanings of the Fox News staff?
My take:
Bill O'Reilly - Basically a slightly left-leaning Libertarian redeemed by a belief in a vigorous American foreign policy and a sneering content for the MSM
Brit Hume - love the guy....with us 100%, I believe...I LOVED the way he interacted in such an over-the-top way with Susan Estritch on election night basically wiping her face with Kerry's loss....
Fred Barnes - same as Brit, 'red' to the core....but fair and honest in his analysis..
Shep Smith - seems to also take glee in Democratic pain but not so sure....his very patriotic stances make me think he's one of us, though...
Sean Hannity - no issues with Sean....
Morton Kondracke - middle of the road leftie but fair....
Greta Van Susteren - big time left winger if I had to guess...
Juan Williams - leftie....no doubt about it....
What do you all think???
We never watch any libs that spout liberal B/S. If a lib does come on we just mute the lib and watch the ticker until he/she is finished. Very simple solution to the barrage of lies and hate that the left constantly spew.
Sorry. It's not "Edie" Hill. It's E. D. Hill. Check it out. Look at this face; would I lie?
Also: Why has nobody mentioned Tony Snow? I think he holds up his end pretty good for our side.
Are you a snobbish Ole Miss alumni?
John Gibson. Definate righty - hates the French.
SHEP IS DEFINITLY RIGHT - AFTERNOON 11/3 HE WAS DANCIN' A JIG ON EVERY DEM HE COULD GET IN FRONT OF A CAMERA.
BRIT IS GREAT!!!!!! (BRIT IN '08????)
JUAN LEFT BUT... A FEW WEEKS AGO HE WAS LOOKING LIKE HE WANTED TO SLIDE RIGHT IF 'PRES BUSH COULD JUST REACH THE AFRICAN AMERICAN VOTER'
GIBSON WAS ROMPIN' ON THE LEFTIES BIG FOR THE LAST 8 WEEKS (FAIR AND IMBALANCED) AND IT WAS HIM THAT GOT AHOLBROOKE TO SAY 'NO ONE KNOWS WHAT HAPPENED TO THE 3 TO 380 TONS OF EXP'
FRED - YOUR RIGHT HE LOOKS FOR AND DEBUNKS ALTERNATIVE VIEW POINTS.
THE REST OF THE PANEL - LEFT WING NUT JOBS JUST TRYING TO BEHAVE THEMSELVES.
GRETA - ????????
O'REILLY - I THINK HE'S RIGHT, BUT HE HAS DECIDED TO BE AN ENTERTAINER/JOURNALIST INSTEAD OF JOURNALIST/ENTERTAINER.
SO FAR IT'S PROBABLY HELPED THE RIGHT MORE THAN THE LEFT.
I think he still is. He has to take the story he is assigned to do I guess and may not have a lot of say in the matter. Remember that bogus memo he wrote with all the Kerry put downs? It think that showed his real opinion.
Alas...I recall her gushing support for Lieberman....in 2000.....a telling factoid...
Steve (I can't remember his last name...not sure if it's a senior or a blonde moment) Oh yeah now I remember...Steve Doocy...he's definitely a righty!!
Can't stand anyone on the weekend morning show.
I don't care what you say, I like Shep. Besides, He's so cute!
harken back to the 2000 election when it appeared that Gore had taken Florida.... I thought she was going to pee all over herself...she was so giddy... BTW she was quite the piglet back then...is it my imagination or has she lost some pork?
You don't like the Judge?
I think he's really got a bead on the judicial problems we wil be facing over the next 4 years. He has a new book out too, "judicial tyranny" I think. I just read about it, and I plan to read it.
Maybe he hadn't had much sleep. I said the same thing several times Tuesday night, that Brit looked like he was in bad need of some sleep at times. He made several slips and somewhat odd comments. He sounded like his normal self on Wednesday however.
I read where they got the news early on that the exit polls were wrong, so they wouldn't call a state until they were getting actual vote counts in. Brit made the comment that they should not have to pay whoever was providing the exit polls to them.
I really do kinda like Tony Snow though I really don't get to see him often.
She commented many times on her concerns about national security, how Bush was addressing those concerns, and her dislike of Kerry's flip-flops/pandering. I'd be surprised if she voted for Kerry...seems to be part of that Security Moms contingent.
I am hoping that the sexual harrassment settlement that O'Reilly just finished have made him aware that he is not going to be able to parlay his cable news success into a run for President. (I think he really was thinking that way).
Maybe now he can stop being such a populist and start talking more normally. I would much prefer to have someone else in the 8pm slot.
Have to say that Bill O surprised me when he ran his interview with Bush on elelction eve.
Lauri Dhue can lean any way she wants, as long as she "leans on me."
Bill leans left. He believes in global warming. He wants the military on the border - which would keep them from being overseas. He thinks Iraq is a mess - hey bill, it is called WAR.
