I don't know much about McCain's stance, is he pro-abortion or pro-gay,

I think he's pro-choice. I personally can't stand him. He's vengeful (with Bush, for yrs) and spoke against the SBVT. He's more of a Rat than Zell.

He's not as pro-choice as Guiliani and claimed he was very pro-life at times during the primaries. Alan Keyes made an issue of some statements he had made previously.

The big problem he has is that he took on the evangelical Christian base of the party during the 2000 campaign. We all saw the moral values issue and the power it can wield. Nominating a candidate that is socially liberal would make many of our supporters stay home and kill us at the ballot box.

McCain is my Senator (sorry). He's pro life. It's just that he is politically malleable on ANY ISSUE, including abortion. If there is a way to get the MSM to say good things about you and druel over you every breath, McCain finds it. He's pro life, but has backed down on pro life fights and hurt the cause in the past.
