The country is clearly divided and being divided feels yukky to some people. A lot of rough-housing and mean-spirited campaigning went on during this election year. Name calling like "girlie-men" and "unpatriotic" and "losers" may have hurt the feelings of emotionally vulnerable individuals. Those same individuals were probably the ones to get the balls spiked into their faces during high school dodgeball games. And that can hurt. Especially if you're wearing glasses and headgear.
Anyway, IT'S HIGH TIME TO APOLOGIZE AND HEAL THE WOUNDS. PRESIDENT BUSH IS A UNITER, NOT A DIVIDER, as Nancy Pelosi reiterated today. And while President Bush may not be waiting for an apology, an apology is DUE.
It's time for elected democrats to apologize for perpetuating the LIE that President Bush would reinstate the draft. I don't expect MTV or P.Dummy to know better, but elected officials like Charles Rangel of New York shouldn't LIE like a cheap rug to the American people.
Time for John Kerry and John Edwards to apologize to the entire Cheney family for bringing up the private life of one of their children in not one, but two separate debates.
Time for Tom Daschle and Barbara Boxhead to apologize for having an official screening of the propaganda piece "Fahrenheit 911" and thereby suggesting that there is anything factual or meaningful about Michael Moore's fecal-like attack on President Bush.
Time for the NAACP to apologize to the country for being a well funded arm of the democrat party that continues to serve up total LIES about the Republican party with the tired mantra "they're racists" while trashing Justice Clarence Thomas and National Security Advisor Condoleeza Rice.
Time for Joe Lieberman to apologize personally to President Bush for campaigning on behalf of John Kerry in Florida and not telling Jewish voters honestly and directly that President Bush is the best friend Israel has ever had in Washington.
Time for John Kerry to apologize to the elderly for LYING about social security AGAIN, and telling them Bush would flush their checks and cut them off. Once again, the Dems demostrate that they can't count on the truth to win them votes, so they need to go for the LIES.
Time for John Edwards to apologize on behalf of his party for misrepresenting the situation in Iraq and selling the efforts of the military down the river by trying to paint the situation as another "quagmire Vietnam." A lot of people believed you, and it was a LIE.
Time for Ted Kennedy to apologize for EVER running for office or allowing himself to be re-elected over and over. The people of Massachusetts are obviously too STUPID (not my family, of course) to know better, but it is UNCALLED FOR to subject the entire country to your drunken crap.
I could go on, but you get the point. It's time to act like civilized human beings, stop the LIES, and apologize to all Republicans, and do not DARE carry on for four years about the GIGANTIC RIFT you accuse President Bush, a decent and good man, of causing in the country.
Your additions welcome...
I also want them to apologise for being stoopid doodie-heads.
Couldn't have said it better! Thanks for posting!
Oh dear.
You realise that some people here on FR are going to NOT read your post and will blast you?
Good post, though.
I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the Left ot apologise. They never do.
I am holding my breath................still holding.............turning a light shade of blue.......
Time for John Kerry to apologize on his knees to every single VietNam veteran and their families. Then time for him to resign his senate seat as an act of earnest contrition.
Prairie
I would rather they just leave the country like they have promised...
You should cease obfuscating.... stop beating around the bush... and consider being less obtuse about your thoughts...
Just go ahead... open up.... tell us how you really feel!
(/sarcasm off)
Regards
LOL!
it's like they stick their fingers in their ears and say, "La! La! La! La! I can't HEAR you!"
Just like little kids.
GOOD ONE. Exactly right! He's still in the Senate and should take the next opportunity to apologize for LYING to those who served and causing prologed suffering and torture to POWs.
Time for Kedwards to apologize for that incessant, patronizing thumb-pointing!!!
Thanks for the post and the opportunity for me to add...
Time for Kerry & "crew" to apologize to the Swift Boat Veterans For Truth. Kerry could have admitted to the truth of his phony medals, that he threw those medals over the WH fence, that he committed treason by going to Paris and consorting with the enemy, etc, etc, etc,,,,,,,,I could go on foreever, but think all Freepers KNOW the TRUTH about Kerry.
HOORAY!!!!!!!
"Who's in the White House???? Bush, Bush, Bush...."
This was at the beginning of Hannity's show, really cute.
I don't want to hear an apology. In fact, I don't want to hear anything from the Dems. They can sit down and shut up and fall in line the the losers they are.
See these:
Media Stars Refuse to Concede Election; Denigrate Evangelicals; Deny Bush a Mandate
meanwhile there may be a run to the border:
Nancy Pelosi has done a good job of dividing the country herself, funny she should use that phrase to attempt reinstatement as a "good house member".
It certainly would be up to her to lead the apologies along with Kennedy and Kerry. She has done much damage and has amassed for herself a history as one of the most vicious house members in recent memory.
Sorry prairiebreeze...close but not good enough...it's time for John Kerry to FIRST apologize to every Viet Nam vet, then to EVERY vet, then to the entire NATION. Then to resign his seat, turn him self in for treason, and go directly to jail FOREVER!! By the way cinnamengirl, EXCELLENT post!!
