Best regards,
P8riot
The filibuster fight cleared the way for him. McCain showed he was a traitor and Frist showed that he is weak and innefective (to those outside of FReeperville). Allen should pick someone from a blue state like Pawlenty, Rudy, or Romney as VP.
Have been touting Allen for months now and couldn't seem to get his vote info...thanks much...now I have it all and then some.
Same circumstance happened in my house about 6 months ago and I still "stand by my man ~ Allen" with Condi as his VP. My husband laughed at me in '96 when I saw Dubya and Elizabeth Dole at the convention and called him to be our next President so he doesn't laugh any more just shakes his head and admits I'm probably right but hard to imagine...we'll see! Just talked to my very political family in SC and Lindsey Graham has totally blown it along with John McLame. They're searching for Graham's replacement...any suggestions??? Have in mind the man who headed Dubya's campaign in the SC primary...help?
Just found the answer to my own question...Carroll Campbell, Jr. who was governor of SC and also Reagan's campaign manager...very seasoned politician...thoughts on Graham's senate seat???
Thanks P8riot. I knew he'd have a solid reason, I just wasn't familiar with that vote.
Y'all are doing me good - I appreciate you making sure I'm informed of all the ins and outs.
George Allen bttt
"George Allen on Gun Control Voted NO on banning lawsuits against gun manufacturers for gun violence. (Mar 2004)"
Just lost my support.
Thanks for the heads up on this guy. He's anti-gun.
Say Good-Bye George.
Ok, it sounds like he's repented of his "eductional" choice, so he's got my support.
I would hope he supported moving Tech to the ACC. Viginia needed a winning football team in it!
Read the thread and you will learn that he is NOT anti-gun...........just anti-Hillary gun control.
Good.
If this jerk supports allowing those idiotic suits against gun manufactufactureres, he CAN'T be "conservative' and will never get my vote.
Then why does he support allowing these idiotic suits agains gun manufactureres?
Ther is only ONE kind of gun control - hitting the target your aiming at.
If you do not understand voting for or against something in order to keep something else from occurring, I am not going to be able to explain it to you.
As I said - read through the thread.
So what do you want, another 10 year, or worse, a permanent ban on Homeland Defense Weapons?
If he had voted for it would you have been pissed because then he would've voted for an extension of the ban? He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't isn't he? SHEESH!. Wake up dammit!
I regard the Second Amendment as a "litmus test" on a polotician's perspective of the Bills of Rights and Original Intent.
If a politician is willing to compromise on it, he will compromise on other rights.
I don't consider that a radical stand.
Not do I know of any gun rights activits who support what you are stating.
The "Assault Rifle Ban", lawsuits against gun manufactureres, "smar-gun" laws, >50 caliber weapon bans, etc. are unacceptable infringements of the Second Amendment. Thye are incremnetal attacks on a baisc humna right - i.e. the right to keep and bear and arms and defend oneself. The Constitution doesn't "grant" this right - Gid does. The Constitution meerely recognizes that right.
I'm still not clear on Allen and gun rights.
All you folks that think Allen is anti-gun should just read the thread. He's not. SHEESH!
If what you are stating is true, it looks like allen acted correctly.
But what about the assertions of another poster that he flipflopped on the AWB issue?
Who?
Thanks
