Holy Father,

Praise and exaltation await You, O God! We make a joyful noise unto You this day, and we lift up our hands with one accord, stretching high to the skies, longing to feel the very touch of Your mighty hand wrapped around our own. Father, You answer us with awesome deeds of righteousness. You crown the year with Your bounty and Your carts overflow with abundance. All the earth bows down to You and we sing praise to Your Name.

Father we have seen Your awesome works in man’s behalf this week. May the people praise You, O God; may all the people praise You. May the nations be glad and sing for joy, for You rule the people justly and guide the nations of the earth. May the righteous be glad and rejoice before You; may they be happy and joyful.

O Lord, may our President and his family take refuge in You and delight in all Your ways. Spread Your protection over them, that those who love Your Name may rejoice in You. For surely, O Lord, You bless this righteous man; You surround him with Your favor as with a shield. You are the God who has avenged our President; You have delivered him from the attacks of the people and You have made him the head of nations.

We are grateful that You, our most High God, are the shield of our military men and women, for You save the upright in heart. May any trouble that the terrorists wish to cause these precious soldiers recoil on themselves; may violence come down on their own heads. For You, our Lord are known by Your justice, and the wicked will be ensnared by the work of their hands.

O God, may we whose hearts have been so touched by Your awesome answers to prayer this week, fail not to pass on to our children and our children’s children the tales of Your mighty works. We love You, O Lord, because You have heard our voices and our supplications---because You have bowed down Your ear unto us. Therefore, we will praise You and bless You and call upon Your Name for as long as we live. Thanks be to our Awesome God in the Precious Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Yes. And take a moment to thank God that our prayers were answered by the Almighty.

I pray for our president daily. I thank God that has once again had mercy on America and led us through this trying time. God will take care of his own, he has proven this through the recent election. This does give me hope for America that there are still more good in the world than evil. Thank you God!

So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria enjoyed peace, being built up; and going on in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it continued to increase. - Ac 9:31

Lord, I've been meditating on how I feel about our recent wonderful victory, and I've come up with "peace" as the answer. I have a deep feeling of contentment and rightness about the choices America made this week.

The Hebrew word 'Shalom' carries the connotation, "everything as it ought to be", and that is how it seems now. America has averted a near-disaster and will instead reinstall a godly man with godly vision as its chief executive. How blessed Your church is that this is so. We will have freedom to live quiet lives in all dignity and to propagate Your glorious kingdom.

I also know that great tests are coming. Mr. Bush, now with the mandate he lacked in year 2000, has every intention of moving forward with a much-needed radical domestic agenda. He also is deadly serious about protecting us from further terrorism, and dealing with Iran and North Korea looms ominously in the not-distant future. For that we are going to have to buck not only world opinion, but benighted domestic political forces as well. It is not going to be easy.

But for now it has been wonderful to dwell in a season of peace and rest, ministering to You and being ministered to by You, and enjoying the fellowship of the Body of Christ.

Not all are at rest, however. Even now our forces gather for the needed assault on Falujah. Time is up for the terrorists, their attempt to sway our elections having failed. Mr. Bush now is going to lower the hammer. We ask for their protection and complete success.

Thank you, Lord, for all Your goodness toward us. We love You. Please comfort all who are hurting.

I am new to this thread. I humbly add my prayers for our President. Thank you all for this encouraging thread. I am a homeschooling Mom. Today I framed a picture of President Bush and hung it in our classroom. It will remind us to pray for him and our Nation every single morning when we do our devotions. I join you all in praise of the glorious Name of Jesus and thank our Almighty God for His intervention in this election!

Heavenly Father,

We come before You humbled by Your merciful favor in answering our prayers & giving us a man who trust in You to lead this country. We pray that President Bush daily draws close to You in prayer and Your word. Give him, and all the of this countries leaders, Your wisdom, knowledge, understanding & discernment. Keep them always mindful of Your direct hand in our country.

Father, we ask that You protect our troops who are about to go into a serious battle in Iraq. We ask that You place Your hand of protection over each and every soldier. Give them supernatural strength when facing combat. Alert them to any hidden dangers and do not let anything or anyone take them by surprise. Give them quick reflexes and strong, calm hearts. Also give wisdom and discernment to those who make decisions on battle strategies. Lord, just as You fought for Joshua & his army, go before them, with Your host of angels and fight this and all the battles ahead.

"O Jehovah, my Lord and savior, my God and my shield-hear me as I pray! Don't let these wicked men succeed; don't let them prosper and be proud. Let their plots boomerang! Let them be destroyed by the very evil they have planned for me. Let burning coals fall down upon their heads, or throw them into the fire or into deep pits from which they can't escape." Psalm 140:6-10

Father, we also pray that You bring a great revival to this country. One that will effect every person and every family. We pray that You go before us, preparing the hearts of each to hear Your word and truth. We pray that You give all believers compassion and a heart for the lost. Let us each be an example so those watching will see You in each of us; let us decrease and You increase in our lives.

Father, words don't exist that can show our gratitude for answered prayers. You did so much more than we ever asked, like You always do. We lift up to you Kerry/Edwards & all there supporters. Lord, they are heartbroken. We pray this emptiness turns them to You. Please remind Republicans to reach out in love and never boast. You have warned us of that, keep us humble.

"Forget the former thing; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland" God is sending a revival!

Amen

Dear Faith, your prayer today is honestly one of the most beautiful I have ever read! I'm going to pray it again, out loud, in Worship to our Mighty King. Thank you for filling us with Nourishment from His Table!
