As the Kerry campaign disintegrates into oblivion, the finger pointing in the Democratic ranks has already begun.
The New York Post's must-read Page Six reports that numbers of notable figures in the 2004 campaign are being roasted by party insiders.
These include:
# Alexandra Kerry: The paper said John Kerry's daughter "made a splash at the Cannes Film Festival last spring when she appeared on the red carpet in a see-through dress."
Campaign "insiders snipe that all she did was rack up major expenses. 'She had an entourage of five people with her everywhere she went.' A hairdresser, makeup artist, publicist and two assistants. It ended up costing something like $8,000 a month. And she didn't exactly do anything."
# Sean Puffy Combs: The rap mogul made national headlines with his "Vote or Die" effort to get young voters to register and vote. But they never materialized at the polls.
"He was just a nuisance," the Post quotes one Kerry aide as saying. "The whole thing was a joke. No one outside of New York or L.A. gives a hoot about this guy. All he did was get himself press."
# Terry McAuliffe and Bill Clinton: The Post says Clinton and his top fundraiser who heads the Democratic party caused the disaster. The Post has reported that some analysts say Clinton's emergence in the closing days of the campaign "energized" the Republican base.
I read this headline too quick and thought they were talking about Chelsea.
"Thanks to Chelsea Clinton for showing her little ugly mug to the public again."
i think i missed that... what did she do exactly?

Nuisance? Wouldn't that make him a terrorist? ;-)
God bless our troops wherever they may be.
Kery's MO......blame everyone except the rotten candidate, who asked these people to help him.
stephanopolis is another idiot... does he ever have anything meaningful to say?
compared to people like ann coulter, laura ingraham, and dick morris he is a political light weight...
i think dennis miller should step to the plate, cut off that beard and be more visible as a commentator...

Oh, that is rich!
Of course, his whole campaign was about voting, and the importance and principle of that. /sarcasm
Or was his goal to find an easy mark, his own base of "useful idiots," that would go spend $30 on one of his t-shirts? Anyone that bought one of those shirts should feel used.
The democrats think they can pull in every freak in the nation to vote for them by pandering. But its as hollow Jessica Simpson's head! All you have is a bunch of idiots voting "against the other guy", without any core principals, morals or values to stand on. Kerry's voting record and his trashing of Vietnam Vets chapped peoples hide!
Kerry is nobody's "everyday man". He clueless on issues, and can't keep the same message for more than a week.
Getting a bunch of Hollywood elitists to stump for you, then make asses of themselves is bad publicity all around. Lets hope they keep doing it.
Democratic party is nothing but a divisor. As soon as it was time for Kerry to kick things into high gear, they had nothing good to say about the War in Iraq, or Bush, Cheney, Rice, or any Whitehouse staff. To bad that people still like Bush, so all they did was offend millions of people!
"Agree 100% -- can you imagine the amount of money our canidate will be able to raise to defeat Hillary. Maybe Frepers need to get in the PAC business since I have a hunch 527's are not going to be as unregulated as they are this time."
You are right about that...however, I see Hillary coming very close to the middle in her voting patterns etc looking ahead.
It would be smart for the dem contenders to side with the President as much as they can...to garnish the republican vote... If Hillary comes across again as an obstructionist... I will not hesitate to contribute against her...

The two really are perfect for each other: Beauty and Brains, she being the brains of the two.
Actually if you look at the relationship of the two of them from 1990 until today, they have ridden a seesaw of power, between the two of them. Specifically:
60 minutes interview - Hillary saves Bill, Hillary on top.
Medical reform - Hillary's plan implodes, Bill on top.
Monica - Hillary stays with him, Hillary back on top.
Bill owes her big time and he knows it, probably because she will not let him forget. I am sure Bill has something in mind for himself when/if she becomes President.
has anyone looked at any of the liberal blogs... are they blaming each other there too?

Let me understand this... if Bill Clinton is out in public for 10 days and it helps Kerry go down in flames .... then why on earth would you want his wife to be your party's next candidate?
Not that there's anything wrong with that! In fact, please do it!!! <g>
If he got off his "I'm a war hero BS", he might have been able to pull it off.
Jobs, Jobs, Outsourcing, and Jobs. That's his winning issue.
The offical name for a DU hug is called a "karmic hug".
Somewhere in FR archives is a real funny FR thread about the original DU karmic hug post.
Between Monicas, BC could also work on the repeal of the 22nd Amendment.
Looks like from the posting is voting is going for the "LEFT"! I love it. I want all those leftist as the party leaders....LOL
Can we all say "CLUELESS" and then have a rousing chorus of "Happy Days Are Hear Again"!
Man! That is just friggin HI-LARIOUS!!!
You mean like how republicans blame Perot for Bush's loss in `92 and Dole's loss in `96? ;)
.....$8,000 a month for make-up...hair stylist...didn't seem to help much, did it.
It's pathetic that they would blame Kerry's daughter. The Dems were more than happy to use Kerry's daughter to woo Ben Affleck into stumping for Kerry, yet now the Dems whine about how Alexandra cost $8000 a month? Give me a break.
