The rage and frustration of another Bush victory was more than many San Franciscans could take. As soon as Bush's re-election was confirmed in the middle of Wednesday, November 3, people started gathering at Powell and Market streets. By 5pm the crowd had swelled to several thousand.
The photographs below were taken at the rally and at the march that followed. Captions are provided only where needed.

What a bunch of pathetic and disgusting LOSERS!! BUT...as vile and creepy as they are, one should point out the fact that they should be grateful to live in a nation where they are FREE to protest in this manner. I wonder how many of them even think about that...one needs to point out that in the Iraq under Hussein each and every one of them would have been KILLED for doing this.
GOD BLESS AMERICA AND GOD BLESS PRESIDENT GEORGE W.BUSH!!!!

I believe strongly in freedom of speech and would never stop these freaks from having their say. However, these people are in many cases as Un-American as the Ku Klux Klan. The left says condemning these weirdos is intolerance. If that is the case, their condemnation of the Klan is intolerance. The fact is you can honor and defend the freedom of speech while still saying some of the speech you defend is bad for society. The hate spewed by the KKK harms society, and these far left loonies harm society. I do not think we need to "exterminate" this behavior, but I do think we need to teach our children that this behavior is vile and should be condemned. Like the Klan, it is legal, but despicable. Tolerance does not mean we have to pretend harmful speech is good for society.
Sadly, these people you see holding the "save Palestine, kill a Jew signs" (my translation) are probably largely educators. These photos could well be the Faculty Directory for Berkeley or U.C. Davis. We have largely ceded higher education, the press, and the entertainment industry to the hard left. This year's election cycle has shown us that as clearly as ever before. Fortunately, the outcome of the election and the apparent importance of values in voters' decisions show that it is not too late to save our children from the lies the left floods us with through the media and universities.
I believe we in the non-leftist population (meaning conservatives as well as those in the middle who do not accept the values [or non-values] of the far left) need to take back the universities, newsrooms, and movie studios. We can only do that through participation and exercising some choice in media usage and educational choices. We have already shown the power of participation in the rise of talk radio and Internet resources like FR. We have also shown the power of choice by the rapid rise of Fox News in the cable ratings (from brand new to the highest rated cable network in a few short years - that is amazing). We need to do the same with universities (by sending our children and monetary donations preferentially to universities that are more like George Mason than Berkeley) and entertainment (some day someone in Hollywood will discover you can make more money by making movies like "Forest Gump" than by making trash like "Kill Bill," then we can exercise our choice). But we also need to exercise our choices by avoiding giving our money to those who spew leftist garbage.
Well, that's my rant for the week. To turn back to your original question, are these "enemies of the state?" I do not think they are in the sense the government needs to take action to silence them. I do think they are "enemies of society," and though we allow them their freedom of speech, we need to take some action to make their ideas as unacceptable to our society as those of the Klan. That is not intolerance, it is self-preservation.

what does the symbol that looks like an "A" with a circle around it mean? one is shown in the first photo Rev 1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty."
There are quite a few signs and wonders around these days.

It's ok. This represents the face and strength of the Democratic party. They are our ticket to keeping on defeating the sly liberals like Tom Daschle who fool their constituents.
