Just 23% of respondents felt the Republican president's victory is "a good thing,"

Glad to hear there are some reasonable Frogs. .....most of them living outside of Paris, I suspect.

And how many of them voted for le-Pen, who thought the Holocaust was a "detail of history" (or something like that)? You don't get candidates like that here.

If France were to be attacked, yet once again by Germany or anyone else for that matter, how many Americans would support, yet once againn, expending American lives in defense of that nation?

The Democrats realized too late that there was a misprint on the last batch of lawn signs they'd printed up. Was supposed to say A FRENCH Start For America

The "French" are no longer Frenchmen, but increasingly Muslims from N. Africa who have been reproducing like rabbits, while the political leaders of France have for decades bought into the culture of death exported by US financed Planned Barrenhood and their own twisted atheistic values which encouraged animus toward large families and Christianity while at the same time "giving away the store" in social giveaways to every group. The result? Just peruse the Paris phone directory. 15 years ago, the names in the phone book were mostly French names. Today, about a third are Arab-sounding names. The French poulation has been decimated with a demographic death sentence: the elderly who must rely on government handouts have not been replaced by young people who can work to prop up the French system of social welfare. They've had to open the floodgates letting in foreign workers who have been outgrowing the French population so much that the ethnic French will be powerless to stop the decline of France and at this time are increasingly being intimidated into sharing political power with Islam, or face jihad. And, France is not the only place this is happening.

On future Franco-US relations, at a low over France's opposition to the US-led military action in Iraq...

This statement is repeated again and again. Relations are not bad because of France's opposition. Relations are bad because France treated the US as an enemy and actively used their power to undermine the chances of US success.
