It's about time they realized Terry was a failure. Three lost elections in a row (2000, 2002, 2004) and he keeps losing seats in Congress.

They need someone who can reach "across the aisle" to people, and I don't see anyone in their party who can do so.

We can only hope this is true. It would keep the Dems on the path to destruction for the next 4 years and ensure that Hillary would never win in 08.

I was surprised the trial balloon didn't make it to FR on this until now. I say let's see how this one plays out,it is going to get real interesting when we see how much camera time is given to Dean in the next week regarding the election.

Alot of Dem's believe if Dean was given the party's nom to run...he would have won it in Florida especially with the early Gore endorsement.

This is breathtakingly stupid. Their answer to the fact that they have been repeatedly rejected by America is to give Howard Dean leadership of the party? This is just breathtakingly STUPID...and too good to be true.

A lot of Dem's believe Dean could have beaten Bush.Totally different views, totally different debate style, and Dean would have openly embraced the 527s...where Kerry ran from any association with them.

Dean would have rallied the youth much better than Kerry. Also would have gotten more Green votes, etc

Dean can raise money as well...money is no longer the issue. Winning is.

Interesting?? The DemoRats got their butts kicked Tuesday and under normal circumstances that would involve some blood letting at the higher levels of the DNC. But, McAwful in Clintoon's handpicked boy who led them to similar butt-kickings in 2000 and 2002 with no adverse effects to his career -- and his tactics didn't change in 2004. All this led me to believe he had a charmed existance at the DNC until Hitlery needed him?

But, it could be - the DemoRats are getting tired of being target practice and skilled explainers of disaster. Dean could be highly entertaining, I'd love to see Hitlery try to push him around?

Thanks for everything Terry! Guess we'll see you later over in the Hillary camp.

Someone should give us a tally of just how much Terry has helped his party as head of the DNC? House Seats ,Senate Seats, Governorships and Presidencies?

We'll just see if the "Screamer" can do as good a job!

From listening to Rush, it sounds like the Kerry people are going to be spilling their guts on how the Clinton machine sabotaged their candidate. If so, the Clintons may go down in flames, within their own party. That means you can forget about Hillary getting the nomination in 2008.

"Confronting an opposition that can win a divided electorate in the worst of times and that has a growing electoral base, the national Democratic Party has a choice: continue down this path toward irrelevance or reverse course." - Zell Miller

If this is true, I guess they've chosen to continue down the path of irrelevance.

Pat Caddell is a real rarity -- a straight shooting DemoRat. I doubt he'd be out there shilling for the DNC Mafia?
