Who knows, maybe Kerry's willingness to act graciuosly, a characteristic very unusual for a crapweasel dem (McGreevy still hasn't submitted his resignation - and I don't believe he will), was do, in part, to the campaign pressures that were causing his wife's drinking and, perhaps, damaging his golden goose.

Was Terry Kerry Drunk Yesterday At John's Concession Speech? I'm willing to bet that Lurch was sober as a judge, but that Teddy and Teresa were drunk on their asses.

I think you have it backwards... Shes been drunk for the last 6 months... Yesterday was her SOBER!!!
To: Tacis
please tell me when she doesn't drink? Every photo I've seen of her she is holding a six pack or a drink in her hand...why whould we expect her to change?
To: Tacis
Who cares? We don't have to look or listen to her anymore.
To: Tacis
My sister said the same thing. She suspected that the speech was delayed an hour (remember it was to be at 1pm) to get her sober enough to appear with him.

I told my wife the same thing as we watched. Notice how she almost fell of the stage after the speech. A handler had to provide much assistance to get her down the 4 or 5 steps off the stage. She was extremely unstable and had drunk-eyes.
To: Tacis
I don't think this is newsworthy enough to warrant its own thread and you should be ashamed of yourself.
Now, if she had appeared SOBER ... well, that'd be news!

I've noticed on several ocassions that it appears Kerry was actually trying to hold her up, rather than embracing her.

No. Probably meds. Can't smell them, cleaner high, easily concealed, easier to take in public setting in order to maintain buzz, no odor and easier to convince oneself that you don't have a problem because they are prescipts.

No matter what we think of her, if she's got a drinking and/or drug problem, she and her family, including John Kerry, need our prayers. They have mine.

I believe Kerry's willingness to concede was due to the fear he had that if there was a serious recount in Ohio, we would find massive vote tampering that would lead back to the DNC.

I'm not saying this is necessarily your attitude, but I have seen a lot of posts evidently gloating over the thought that she was drunk or on some sort of drugs.
I find this ugly, repellant, and unworthy.
The woman is a wreck, spiritually, intellectually, morally, personally and socially. There's nothing funny about that; it's sad and pathetic.
Worse, she came darned close to being our First Lady. There's nothing funny about that, either.
If it elicits any response from us at all, it should be to provoke Christian posters to pray for her.
And before we get too arrogant about another drunken Dem -- don't I recall a Republican president whose wife had her own problems?
Unless your point is to invite prayer for her, let's just let it go.

At the end of the speech I noticed that Kerry was directing Terry and Mrs.Edwards (whatever her name is) down the stairs in a gentlemanly way. Then there was John Edwards swooping up, I think it was Kerry's blond haired daughter and gave her a big hug and kiss. My first impression was - very strange! Heres his wife navigating the stairs and he too interested with the blond.
