No soul-searching.
That was the verdict of Democratic leaders yesterday in the wake of across-the-board losses in the Tuesday elections. They lost, they said, not for the positions they took but because of a difficult election map and because Republicans clouded the issues.
"It's not about soul-searching," said House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat. "It may be about how we can educate the American people more clearly on the difference between Democrats and Republicans."

Pelosi has no soul to search.

"It may be about how we can educate the American people more clearly on the difference between Democrats and Republicans." She is probably fantasizing about those nifty "re-education camps" her Commie friends always like to build when they seize power.

The more people she educates about the differences between Democrats and Republicans, more will become Republican!

You go girl! More talk like that and we'll be winning elections for decades to come!

Look at the bright side.
We can just blow right by all that chatter about "reaching across the aisle" and
Another shellacking in '06 should eject most of the remaining Baby-Boom navelgazer DIMs from elected office.

speaking of EDUCATION--Nancy is just doing her job, speaking from Marx/ACLU/NEA/Thomas Dewey's corrupt-the-children talking points. They know they've lost this generation...but oh by so little a margin...En Garde! Americans watch your textbooks for all the Marxism, occultism, multiculturalism, everything-but-God-and-Country-ism you are paying for your friendly local teachers to indoctrinate your kids with....(many teachers are wonderful people distraught at what to do....send them to GTBE.org) ...
That's Gateways To Better Education and it's a GREAT conservative resource. Also Wallbuilders.com

Oh yes, thats it, they just need to speak more clearly. Is she saying we are just to dumb to vote properly?
It might also be that we are not buying the BS that they are
selling.

"It's not about soul-searching," said House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat.First, gotta have one to search.
Also, gotta have a brain to be smart enough to do the search.
Finally, gotta have a heart to care enough to search.
You're screwed...three ways.

You make an interesting point.
Here's something I posted yesterday on another thread:
A theory as to why the 'youth vote' didn't pan out for the Dems: For decades now, the teaching of civics and American history has been declining in elementary and high schools. America has been criticized, even reviled, by teachers toeing the liberal, post-1960's line.
Why, then, would Democrats expect these brain-washed young people to take to heart the need to participate in politics in this country? That's clearly not a rational expectation.
Much more could be said, but that's the gist of it.

How about headline reading "Stagnant Swamps of Denial Refuse to be Drained."

They have never studied what the reality was in the former USSR. People eventually see the disconnect in central control and their brains, being wired for individualism/liberty/capitalism/faith, reject the inculcation. They learn to nod their heads and keep a straight face while thinking their own thoughts. They create dark humor exposing the lies inherent within the propaganda. They create undergrounds and exchange hand-copied articles and books that contain truth and reality.
Over and over during the past 4 years, I have spoken with thinking young people 18-30. Most of them hate PC and have fought against it all their lives. Many recognize that from Sesame Street onward they have been lied to. One said to me:"You get to where you can tell who is telling you the truth."
Youth is naturally rebellious. The youth did rebel. They did turn out. They voted for Dubyah. The ones who were dispirited by the Left's inculcation and their own lack of knowledge and education just rolled over and went back to sleep with their Walkmans (or whatever the latest version is named) firmly over their ears.
