actually when I expressed my liking of Bush's win at work...to the guys would were complaining about 4 more years of that 'puke'. I was asked is I was INSANE? hehehe.
I of course said no, i just didn't want to pay any more taxes and Kerry already promised to raise them (it's the one promise I think he'd keep....he'd just lower the minimum income to get those like me who aren't rich tho) I could have come up with lots more reasons....but just left them to stew in their misery, but they really did stop all the discussion of their unhappiness with me there. LOL
The way I look at it. if they can express their displeasure with the choice we the people made, I should be able to express my happiness right? Personally being called insane is more of an insult then saying 'yes!!!' with some arm motions, I at least didn't insult their inteligence which is what they did to me.
I didn't bring the subject up and would have left it since work really is not the place to have political discussions, but why should I have to listen to them without being able to have my say. I would probably have not said anything at all if they had just been mumbling their displeasure but to call the pres a puke when not everyone agrees, and in a work area where they should just say who won and they were bummed. well...hmmm, did you know the jobs going overseas are all Bush's fault?

No not true, by the time America entered the war the threat of invasion to Britain had long passed.
And if in 1940 the Germans had carried out operation Sea Lion (code name for the invasion) there was a chance it would not work. The German Navy was not powerful enough to land a big enough force and logistics.
The German military was broken in the East, Battle of Moscow , Battle of Stalingrad and Kursk.
Germany new they were losing the war by summer 1943.
If America had not entered the war the most likely outcome would of been A Soviet Dominated Europe by 1947 unless the German officer corp. over threw Hitler, and came to an understanding with Churchill and Stalin, which would of been very likely as with out FDRs backing Churchill may not of pushed for total capitulation and Stalin would have been happy to make a deal
You joined the awr beacuse Japan and Germany declared war on you, you fornmed NATO because you new with Europe under Soviet Dominence you would lose Africa and the Middle east America would of been totally isolated.

For holding the line in 1940 and 41 giving you breathing space to rearm.
For being ready to fight World War three on European soil and so spare America.
