Are they allowed to do this? What if Kerry feels like challenging in NM. Or "waiting for all the votes to be counted".

I mean, did they check with the Kerry campaign to get their ok before calling this state? As I understand it, that's how our system works.... ;-)

Finally. Now is FOX still lamenting the Bush loss based on their swallowing the false exit polls hook line and sinker.

It was the Clinton factor that tipped NM in Bush's favor.

Yes - Iowa is in the bag. The last votes are from the Western part of the state that are GOP counties.

My math tells me that with Nevada, NM and Iowa going to Bush it will give him 286. That shows you that Ohio was critical with it's 21 EVs. Without it he would have been at 265. That should be his grand total.

Now is FOX still lamenting the Bush loss based on their swallowing the false exit polls hook line and sinker.

Larry King took Jeff Greenfield to task about relying on exit polling data last night. Greenfield was almost crying.

So now the outlier Red and Blue states in 2000 have changed colors, making the map even more divided. The Blue states are now in three distinct clusters, and New Hampshire is no longer stands out in the Northeast. Fascinating.
