So, it was not a lone nut-job, it was an orgainized part of World Jihah?

Poor man, I hope the Dutch avenge his death by tossing out every single Muslim they can.

Eight down, one million to go.

All the muslim "immigrants" in the Netherlands are suspects. Crime? Attempted genocide against the Dutch people and invasion of the country.

Are they seeing a connection to terrorism yet?

I know they were having a little trouble with that concept originally.

Dutch Murder Suspect Had Possible Islamist Ties

AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - The man suspected of killing a Dutch filmmaker critical of Islam was probably driven by extremist Islamist motives and was already known to the national security service, the government said on Wednesday.

Director Theo van Gogh, who drew anger from Muslims with a film that said Islam encouraged violence against women but also managed to offend Jews and Christians with his blunt views, was shot and stabbed as he cycled to work on Tuesday morning.

Two knives were left in his body, one pinning a note to his chest, which the NRC Handelsblad newspaper said called for an Islamic holy war. A 26-year-old with dual Dutch and Moroccan nationality was arrested for the killing.

In a letter to parliament, Justice Minister Jan Hein Donner and Interior Minister Johan Remkes urged calm amid fears the killing could worsen Dutch race relations, tense since the murder of anti-immigration populist Pim Fortuyn in May 2002.

The ministers said the arrested man had already come to the attention of the AIVD national security service, but was not among some 150 Islamic extremists the service is monitoring.

"In light of what is known up to now we should seriously consider the fact that the perpetrator acted from a radical Islamic conviction," the ministers said.

Dutch newspapers said the suspect had had contact with Samir Azzouz, an 18-year-old who was arrested in June on suspicion of planning attacks on key buildings in the Netherlands. Police declined to comment on that information or their investigation.

Liberal politician Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a Somali refugee given Dutch citizenship after fleeing an arranged marriage, worked with Van Gogh on his film about abuse of Muslim women and received a new death threat on Tuesday saying: "You are next."

A 22-year-old with Moroccan roots was sentenced to nine months in jail in October for threats against Hirsi Ali.

RACIAL TENSION

Van Gogh will be cremated next Tuesday in Amsterdam.

While Van Gogh was far from universally liked, Dutch people deplored the killing.

In scenes reminiscent of those after Fortuyn's death, sympathizers laid flowers in the street where Van Gogh was killed and outside his house. Tens of thousands of people sent messages of condolence to special Internet sites, although one was closed after it was swamped with racist notes.

Immigration has been top of the political agenda since the rise of Fortuyn, whose party came second in a general election just days after he was shot dead by an animal rights activist.

A demonstration of a right-wing group supporting Van Gogh's views is planned for Wednesday evening after some 20,000 people flooded a central square in Amsterdam on Tuesday night to denounce the killing.

The Netherlands is home to nearly one million Muslims or 5.5 percent of the population. Recent surveys have shown that the traditionally tolerant Dutch are growing more hostile toward immigration and increasingly fearful of Islamic extremism.

Organizers canceled a planned lecture by Syrian intellectual Sadik Jalal Al-Azm in Amsterdam central library on Sunday because of security concerns.

Amsterdam mayor Job Cohen told the municipal council on Wednesday that while he would "act vigorously" against extremists when needed, he would not single out any one group.

"Butchered," cried the banner-headline on the front page of the mass-circulation De Telegraaf, which showed Van Gogh lying on the street with two knives sticking out of his chest. It said the killer sliced his throat "like a French baguette."

The nationalities of the arrested were an Algerian, six Moroccans and one with the Spanish-Moroccan nationality

All were confirmed Episcopalians, except for the Spanish-Moroccan who was SSPX.

Prayers going up to you in the Netherlands. This has the potential to turn very ugly very quickly. Hopefully the Dutch people will *not* let themselves be ruled by these Islamo-nazis.
