BOSTON (Reuters) - Democratic vice presidential nominee John Edwards, signaling that the party still hoped to win the close-fought U.S. election, said early on Wednesday that it would "fight for every vote."
With the tally in the crucial state of Ohio very tight and potentially hanging on 150,000 uncounted provisional ballots, Edwards told supporters in Boston that he and Democratic presidential nominee Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts would not give in.
"John Kerry and I have made a promise to the American people that with this election every vote would count and every vote would be counted. Tonight we are keeping our word and we will fight for every vote," Edwards, a North Carolina senator, said.
Except, of course, for military votes in Pennsylvania...
How lawyerly of ex-Senator Edwards. I never thought I could say this, but Gore appears to have more class than Kerry -- and that's saying something.
Just enjoy their spasms. No need to be nervous. It's not close. Their cheating didn't and won't work in this election.
Bring it on !
I think it was totally wrong that last night, when they announced him, they stated "the next vice president of the United States, John Edwards".....wrong!
Money doesn't buy class.
This is part of the statement by Edwards .
Reflects the revenge the Demorats expected to get,-their hatred is unforgiving.
George Bush ought not turn the other cheek to these people......
Hey eddie, did you check with your donut eating wife before you opened you girly mouth?
Edwards ought to get a job like us working men. Once he does, the "D" behind his name will change to an "R."
Note to Edwards, you have lost Ohio and the popular vote. Soon Iowa, Nevada and New Mexico will all be called for the President.
Understanding that you're a lawyer and will not be able to make sense of what I'm about to say I will say it anyway in the hopes that it gets through your hairspray coated ears.
Have some class and respect the votes of the people. Concede or be looked at as a bitter loser for the rest of your days.
Pennsylvania ElectTotal: 21 Precincts Reporting: 99%

My question is how many uncounted military votes are still in play in Penn?
You got that right!
We need to NOT concede New York, Pennsylvania, etc yet.
Until ALL the votes have been counted. </sarcasm>
Dems: Accept the will of the American people. Stop trying to steal this thing.
