"What station did you watch last night for election coverage?"
Free Republic and the Internet! Is there another news source?

My TV was not turned on at all last night. FR all night, until about 3:00 A.M. when I collapsed into bed.

Fox....no contest....they're easily the best. Plus looking at Rather's mug all night might have caused me to hurl a brick through the tv...or just hurl period.

Fox and FR until Fox called Ohio - then channel flipping to see how the other networks were mishandling the information.

FR during "work" in the morning and afternoon, then Fox and FR at night, along with John Ratzenberger's "Made in America" (he visited the Jack Daniel's distillery and showed the whole process, and also the Zippo lighter factory in Pennsylvania) and History International's "The Map Makers" thrown in for tension-busting relief and educational purposes.

FOX 80% of the time out of loyalty. But they were terrible. I didn't mind that they were cautious about putting states up, but it was just the boring coverage, no Map, and going to the vial Susan Estridge for her comments every chance they could.

Free Republic all the way.
Straight honest full of facts.

Fox did not have its "A Game" last night. NBC did provide excellent and more fair and balanced coverage than I thought they would. ABC, CBS, and CNN were as biased as usual.

The most enjoyable part of my evening was watching Brokaw, Rather and Jennings melt like the wicked witch of the west. Brokaw actually made the comment early in the evening that Gore had won Florida in 2000. Rather was beside himself. I mostly watched Fox, but flipped through MSNBC, NBC, ABC, and CBS during commercials and boring Fox commentary. An absolutely wonderful evening - especially when it was clear that the exit polling yesterday was flawed.

FOX up until 10:00 or so and then again at 2:50 AM.

I sat and built a water-cooled Athlon 64 FX-53 2.4.I never turned on my TV -- even though I was in the same room with my 42-inch plasma.....
Instead, I listened to Hugh Hewitt's Salem Radio coverage: it was the best election coverage I've ever heard.
Props to Hugh and Generalisimo.

I watched them all. My observations: George Steph.... could have used a box of kleenex. Dan rather must have been convinced to take some prozac about 1:00 am after he started to lose it. peter jennings had such a long face but then rallied and started getting real snippy toward the end with the ohio secretary of state and ed gillespie (RNC chairman) when NBC, MSNBC, and FNC declared Bush the winner. My biggest surprise was that I didn't see any puffy eyes on perky katie this morning.

I kept my TV on CBS just to watch Rather and Scheifer sitting on each others laps like dummies (occasionally having to adjust the contrast as Rather turned blue) while online I flipped back and forth between Freerepublic, Drudge and RealClearPolitics.
