FCG Construction The FCG consists of an explosives-packed tube inside a copper coil. The stages of detonation are as follows (as described by Wilson, 2001):

The coil is energized with a bank of capacitors, creating a magnetic field.
The explosive charge is set off moving from one end of the coil to the other.
As the copper tube flares outwards, it touches the copper coil creating a short circuit that moves down the length of the bomb.
This short circuit compresses the magnetic field and, before the final disintegration of the device, a ramping current pulse is produced.

Since E-Bombs are not directly lethal to people, armies would be able to use the technology effectively to attack a city without causing direct civilian casualties.

I'm asking this out of complete ignorance. This type of weapon would take out anything electrical, right? Would it bring down an airplane? I assume it would take out the communications at airports, etc.
