You're forgetting that the Pentagon was constructed with fortification elements: steel reinforced everything, heavy reinforced concrete and stone, steel doors between sections, etc. and that it's really concentric rings interconnected buildings.

Also, my recollection at the time was that there were accounts of the plane's wing hitting the ground before the plane hit the Pentagon. How much of the kinetic energy of the plane was transfered to the structure very much depends on details of how it hit.

I hope my irritation isn't showing through, but anyone who
questions what happened on 9-11-01 after all the documentation,
witness accounts, photos, videos, etc.; is either ignorant and/or
an anti-American.

If any of you do have questions about 9-11, why not create a
thread and discuss it over there?
