We discussed this on a prior thread. Germicide in our purses, pockets and in our cars are now part of everyday life for many of us.
Here's another take on that line:
Money, like bacteria, in order to multiply and grow needs as its host the security of its dwellings (Wall Street,banks,etc.).
I interpreted this as a criticism of the amount of debt that the average American carries. Many Americans are so enslaved by servicing credit card, mortgage and vehicle loan debts that there is little left in reserve. The smallest economic blip is a recipe for financial disaster. A financial kick in the shins is what the Islamic militants intend to inflict...just to test their assertion.
To me the context read more like money was like a disease and corrupting to a devout and righteous jihadist, therefore is corrupting Americans and that we've become a pampered society that can't handle not having our 'toys'.
We talked about that before- germs being spread via cash. However, I read this more as money being the US "disease".
