Since the original discussion at the sweetislam board was on the "castle" forum, could the above line mean security on the castle forum has been breached (lurkers); they wait to see = they are watching us?

sounds like you're a lot closer on that than I was. My assumption was based on the "Castle" being their target, but yours makes more sense.
