Yup, Senator Edwards speaks. SoreLoserman II begins tonight, but I'm not waiting!

Congratulations President Bush!!

It's all over but the crying for the SoreLosermen!!

And now it's time for us to start planning the Free Republic George W. Bush Inaugural Ball II!

I've had Kristinn checking venues and prices and we're in the process of getting a proposal from the Wyndham City Center Hotel in Washington, DC (the other Wyndham that we used last time is already booked).

The costs have more than doubled from our first ball, so we're estimating the price per person will have to be in the neighborhood of $175 per person. We'll also have to move fast on this. We'll need to make a quick decision as soon after the elections results are official as we possibly can and then we'll need to quickly raise the funds to put up the required deposit.

So, here's the question: Are you ready for an Inaugural Ball?

If so, please post here if you plan to attend and how many will be in your party.

Thank you all very much and hope to see you in DC on January 20th!!

By the way, everyone told us last time that the Free Republic Ball was the best one in town and it was half the price or less than all the others. I suspect that this Ball will also be the best in town and at $175 will still be priced less than any other!

Add one more to the list, please:

Our 13-year old son will be in attendance.

He needs to see this. It will be the history/civics lesson of his/my dreams.

When we were on the streets of Florida and D.C., he was too young to understand the First Amendment. This gala occasion will illustrate to him the fruits of our labors, and will show him that a large group of like-minded individuals speaking in one voice MAKES A DIFFERENCE.

I want our son to meet and rub elbows with GENUINE, AUTHENTIC, PASSIONATE PATRIOTS.

We can't wait!!!

Great...but I'm not Jim! Jim, please see the previous post from Jayrsmith.

That's the fifth person who has pinged me about tickets, when I have nothing to do with planning for the ball or selling tickets.

I can't figure out how this has started...well, no harm done.

If still possible to sign up early, we'd like 2 tickets.

As GOP Poll Observers/Challengers in Ohio's now Famous Franklin County, we can tell stories of how hard we worked on election day to help Registered Kerry Voters (And no unregistered voters) to vote on election day. Unbelieveable!

Of course, it took two Democrat Lawyers to watch me! Great fun, with the last voter out the door at 10:20 PM after closing the polls at 7:30PM!

Jim, would you please ping me for tickets when they are available? Maybe Mr. AlwaysConservative won't be dancing quite yet, but I'm seriously thinking of being there!

Can someone please tell me what is expected attire for the ball? Thanks!

Last time, most of the men were in suits. Just a few tuxes. Most of the women were in nice dresses. Semiformal to formal is the best way I can describe it.

I hear rumors that some people were talking about coming in pajamas because of that quote about pajama-clad bloggers being smarter than CBS.

While I appreciate the humor, I hope the women opt for nice dresses. Call me selfish. :)

Thanks Jim,

Two (2) please.

I have been researching for a new website tourfreeiraq.com
In doing so I have heard the voices of the iraqi people who are thankful for the Bush win and the hope for freedom that his leadership brings. I will party in their behalf!

We were hoping to begin ticket sales this week, but we're not quite ready yet. Hopefully, we'll have the details all wrapped up next week. We'll ping everyone on this thread, but please watch for our ticket sales announcements next week.

See you all there!

Thanks,

Jim

Just to recap, I'll be watching for next week's announcement and want 5 tickets to this great celebration. I have some previous posts on this thread, adding up to the total request for 5.
