Yup, Senator Edwards speaks. SoreLoserman II begins tonight, but I'm not waiting!
Congratulations President Bush!!
It's all over but the crying for the SoreLosermen!!
And now it's time for us to start planning the Free Republic George W. Bush Inaugural Ball II!
I've had Kristinn checking venues and prices and we're in the process of getting a proposal from the Wyndham City Center Hotel in Washington, DC (the other Wyndham that we used last time is already booked).
The costs have more than doubled from our first ball, so we're estimating the price per person will have to be in the neighborhood of $175 per person. We'll also have to move fast on this. We'll need to make a quick decision as soon after the elections results are official as we possibly can and then we'll need to quickly raise the funds to put up the required deposit.
So, here's the question: Are you ready for an Inaugural Ball?
If so, please post here if you plan to attend and how many will be in your party.
Thank you all very much and hope to see you in DC on January 20th!!
By the way, everyone told us last time that the Free Republic Ball was the best one in town and it was half the price or less than all the others. I suspect that this Ball will also be the best in town and at $175 will still be priced less than any other!
I hope you can make it. We'll announce the entertainment when we make the formal announcement.
Just updating my request for tickets - looks like I'll need 5. Can't wait!
Great, thanks much
We had a blast!
This is really scary! Jim looks just like I imagined!!!!
We had the best time 4 years ago and will be coming in 2005 put me down for 7 tickets
Wish I could make it, but health considerations preclude my attending. : (
I'll be with you folks in spirit.

Mr. McDonald, please report to the Wyndam City Center Hotel on January 20, 2005 for some fun and frivolity.
Paging Gene McDonald...
Gene who?
Hey PW!
Sorry to have missed the festivities.
Gonzo said if I was there he was going to rope off the TV!
It's a crazy time for me. Working and trying to get our house constructed. (Not enough hours in the day!).
1/20/05 may have me staying close to home. I won't know till a week or two before the big event.
FRegards!
Dave
Gene Who going definitely.
Darlie Who is tenative but leaning at this point - some rearranging is being attempted.
Who dat in DC?
Was that the restaurant the night before the Inauguration? There were so many of us in line waiting to get in that we ended up heading up the street to another eatery ... then we all marched off to the White House for a little good, clean fun. Little did we know, Bill was inside signing Marc Rich's pardon and Shrillary was stuffing White House towels into her suitcase!
