Yup, Senator Edwards speaks. SoreLoserman II begins tonight, but I'm not waiting!

Congratulations President Bush!!

It's all over but the crying for the SoreLosermen!!

And now it's time for us to start planning the Free Republic George W. Bush Inaugural Ball II!

I've had Kristinn checking venues and prices and we're in the process of getting a proposal from the Wyndham City Center Hotel in Washington, DC (the other Wyndham that we used last time is already booked).

The costs have more than doubled from our first ball, so we're estimating the price per person will have to be in the neighborhood of $175 per person. We'll also have to move fast on this. We'll need to make a quick decision as soon after the elections results are official as we possibly can and then we'll need to quickly raise the funds to put up the required deposit.

So, here's the question: Are you ready for an Inaugural Ball?

If so, please post here if you plan to attend and how many will be in your party.

Thank you all very much and hope to see you in DC on January 20th!!

By the way, everyone told us last time that the Free Republic Ball was the best one in town and it was half the price or less than all the others. I suspect that this Ball will also be the best in town and at $175 will still be priced less than any other!

Not too late at all. Everyone had such a great time at the first Ball. We're working hard to make sure we at least match the fun and energy at that one.

We're focusing on getting the Ball set first. We will probably have a low-key dinner gathering the night before, but we'll work on that after we get the main work for the Ball done.

Count me in (plus a guest) I am taking my R&R then (intentionally) to attend GWB's swearing in, I'll be coming back to the USA from Afghanistan... just as I did during the election (voting in person for GWB)... traveled from Kandahar to Illinois to personally cast my vote in a pitiful leftist state full of RINO's

We were cruising in the Carribean, so all we got was CNN, on the Horizon (Celebrity.com, for a wonderful time)... It was awful, not being able to hear Fox guys, and the CNN people did not want to call it for W.
It made the trip better, when we woke wednesday to the good news... More than 75% of those aboard were W supporters, and we all had voted early!
Count for two more, please, from WV! We're not through celebrating!!!

Would it be possible to set up a live web-cam, or more, for those unable to make it there... they can still enjoy the sights, and sounds...

Is the price of the ball finalized at $175.00 per person?

I know some who want to go but think $175.00 is a bit pricey
Any news on block Hotel reservations?
Final date to get tickets to Inaugural ball?
Perhaps a new annoucement thread?

I would love 4 tickets if possible.
There are a few times I really like living in NoVA, and this is one of them.

We are hoping to sign a contract this week with the hotel. Prices have doubled on us since our first Ball four years ago. $175 is what we're trying to hold the line at. No news on hotel blocks. A ticket sale deadline has not been determined.

A new announcement thread will be posted when details are finalized. Thanks for your patience. Things are coming together, but we're not all set, yet.
