Yup, Senator Edwards speaks. SoreLoserman II begins tonight, but I'm not waiting!
Congratulations President Bush!!
It's all over but the crying for the SoreLosermen!!
And now it's time for us to start planning the Free Republic George W. Bush Inaugural Ball II!
I've had Kristinn checking venues and prices and we're in the process of getting a proposal from the Wyndham City Center Hotel in Washington, DC (the other Wyndham that we used last time is already booked).
The costs have more than doubled from our first ball, so we're estimating the price per person will have to be in the neighborhood of $175 per person. We'll also have to move fast on this. We'll need to make a quick decision as soon after the elections results are official as we possibly can and then we'll need to quickly raise the funds to put up the required deposit.
So, here's the question: Are you ready for an Inaugural Ball?
If so, please post here if you plan to attend and how many will be in your party.
Thank you all very much and hope to see you in DC on January 20th!!
By the way, everyone told us last time that the Free Republic Ball was the best one in town and it was half the price or less than all the others. I suspect that this Ball will also be the best in town and at $175 will still be priced less than any other!
Why don't we skip inaugural balls this year? Don't get me wrong I love Bush and have voted for him 4 times (Gov. twice), but my Marine son is going to Iraq and we are skipping Christmas presents in order to purchase some additional body armor for him in addition to what the Marines will issue.
I wish President Bush would announce that he will forego the inauguration parties this year and earmark the money instead for the troops in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere.
God Bless President Bush!
me and hub will be attend along with our 3 kids! with BELLS ON!
I just called my Congressman this morning for inaugural tickets. Put me down as a YES.
I'm in.
i think its me and my parents!! 3 for me
"See you at the inauguration, Drudge." Said by Kerry flunky to Matt Drudge when Drudge inquired about Kerry breaking debate rules by bringing a pen (or something).
I want to go...Are you serious? We really can go? You're not kidding with me are you? Just any-ole-body can go? I need sleep!!
Yes!!!
yes!!!!
Yes and Yes!!!!!
Table for two please!
Have you guys seen this?
2 under "Stormhands" please.
I'd love for us to go! Will this be a formal ball? (Because if it is, we can't bring our 6 year old, so we can't go :( )
That would be a nice b-day present for me from my husband. (teehee)
Bump
I would recommend contacting your local FR Chapter about the possibility of a "Balls Across America"...
Was there in 2001 (Gov. Huckabee(sp) was awesome), and plan to be back this January!!
Does anyone know where I can find some black tie pajamas?
OMG...So how does all that come together and what does $175 each cover...Oh I'm getting way too excited!!!
LOL!!!! ... I like it
Thought I'd PInged you to it earlier (like 3-4 am).....I'm ready! Are you?
I'm IN Jim...probably TWO people, what about ROOMS at the hosting Hotel. Money is NO OBJECT THIS TIME!!!
