Fox projects Ohio to Bush

Posted on 11/02/2004 9:45:18 PM PST by gs-conserv

Fox has been slow to call anything all night, but first to call Ohio. Bush only needs 4 EV's

Fox has been very conservation predicting tonight. Interestingly, they appear first (and only, right now) to call Ohio. I hope it stands. Maybe the other networks can't stand the thought and are holding out for a Kerry upset.

This is great news, but, we better be careful. We shouldn't sound too proud. Things could always change. It is my belief, that yes, Bush wins Ohio, but I just want to be very, very careful about it.

I think we'll win New Mexico, and Nevada, and probably some others. But if we don't, it could be a 269-269 tie if Alaska is the only other state won besides Ohio.

Alaska is a gimme, but the networks will be stuck on the 269 number until some of these real close states are sorted out - unless they cab call for New Mexico.

My guess is that New Mexico is the state that will be called for Bush on the networks that will prompt Kerry's concession.

I flipped over to msnbc and there will be trouble in OH, the Kerry camp thinks they have the votes. This is bull...fox took all night to call things but they did call OH to Bush, so what the hell is going on?

I imagine Kerry will mount a challenge. A real shame. I'd love to see a concession speech! That would really hit the spot.

Ok, folks, MSNBC is making Ohio looks like it's still in play, and even quote the president's folks as saying if Kerry gets more than 200,000 in CLeveland (?) it's going to be iffy.

Ditto with CNN.

Of course, but...you know what I mean! :)

MSNBC is pulling a Fllordia--they're saying Kerry is WINNING in certain areas of OH, and that may effect the outcome!!!!

CARVILLE says it would be drawing a double inside straight for Kerry to take Ohio now. He's conceding on CNN to Paula Zahn as we speak.

The dork should understand the people's vote. Concession speechs used to be a part of political polity, when we had such things.
