2% of the precincts reported. Bush leading 50%-49%.
How can they call this a Kerry state?

I am in rural NJ, Blairstown area. Cow country (and a nuke power plant :) )

Are your cows dairy or beef?
I actually love NJ - I just can't figure out the road system when I get off one of the main turnpikes/parkways - if you miss an exit, you're in bad shape!

No 55-45 Kerry, and the word around the diner in town is that McGreevey has decided to stay, now that the voters have shown themselves so apathetic that they can't even get outraged enough to go against 'rats after all the corruption he's brought to the state.....

Fox and other channels are saying the exit polling doesn't match the actual results. Exit polls are worthless.
Then why is Fox projecting Bush as the winner in Texas with only 2% of precincts reporting, and New York for Kerry with 0% of precincts reporting? As of 9:08 Eastern Standard time, I guarantee you that not a single state has compiled all of its votes. Yet Fox somehow has projected that Bush has 156 electoral votes and Kerry has 112. How do they do that? Exit polling. You may not like it or believe it, but that is how it is done. If you want to wait until all the real votes are counted, that ain't gonna be happening for days, if not weeks.

You can click on a state and get coounty-by-county results. Of course - it is CNN. Pays you money takes you choice!

Bush 45%
Kerry 55%
35% precincts, yet they call it for Kerry.
Check out Florida (Bush clearly ahead 53/46 with over 50% precincts) yet they won't call it for him. Bastards.

I drove through there in August - you'd think I'd remember that (I remember seeing the signs for Delaware Water Gap - because it was such an odd name) but I was driving from Maine so had been at the wheel for awhile.

We keep our land away from the highways. They would be subject to tolls if they were closer.
