Assume this is related. Posted by NRO Battlegrounders earlier this evening:

"It turns out I may have spoken too soon. It appears that the lines have been getting longer this evening. TV reports are no estimating lines to include waits of four hours. People still in line as we approach the time when polls close may be in for a wait of a couple of hours. "It is my understanding that a voter rights group has filled suit in federal court agains the Secretary of State and the Franklin County and Knox County Board of Elections. The goal is to get the boards to use punch card and provisional ballots to try and expedite the voting process in order to avoid voters refusing to wait in the long lines and to insure that voting is completed.

I believe a press conference is scheduled soon and the parties are in federal court right now.

If I were in Columbus, I'm pretty sure that my new car would "break down" in front of a busload of Dem overtime voter wannabees.

Maybe not so bad.. Perhaps the line of real working people is too long for them to close down on time.

Read my post! Our daughter worked a 12 hr shift..7 am to 7 pm....had to vote after work and IS IN LINE as we speak. They gave everyone in line at 7:30 a ticket to vote, but there were lots in line! They CANNOT refuse to let them vote, but at her location those arriving after tickets given, are being told they are too late.

yes, this with Peter Jennings saying the Gay marriage ban passed is bad news for Kerry.....the Dem Bums had all day to vote, working people go after work, usually commuters that cant take off during lunch

If the polls are going to open late in an Ohio city Columbus is the least damaging to our cause. Bigger worries are if Cleveland extends.

Columbus has more Republicans than most cities. We have a large Catholic population, and the Gay Marriage Ban on the Ballot. Columbus is still very cow townish. We pull up the side walks up at 6PM. Still the points that Conservatives tend to be better organized is valid. Most of us voted this morning and went to work.

Remember, Columbus is in Franklin County, where they had more registered voters than the census said they had eligible voters.

Totally Unbelievable !! A set time to close should be just that,, a SET time , not when we think we have enough!
Keep Praying..

Does anyone have a good site for realtime returns for Ohio? That official site sucks. It doesn't tell you what percentage of the precincts have reported.

Maybe that's because they haven't closed the polls yet?

Not necessarily bad.
I guess the machines were cut from 17 in the primary to an absurd low amount for today.

Knock yourself out - Bush up by 10%.
Keep on eye on District 10 - I expect Kucinich to have his ass handed to him.

Hmm, I think Columbus is a heavy Repub area, although it depends a bit on which precincts.

Deaniacs gave a big middle finger to Kerry for what he did to Dean in Iowa.
I had a feeling this would happen.

The OH link on Drudge shows W with a 10% lead.

Very early, but still, I'm feeling a whole lot better than at 3 PM when the first exit polls came out!

They will try to screw around with this "extended hours" crap, but in the end, Bush has won the election, even before we get to WI, IA, NM, HA, and MN.

Good move on Blackwell's part.
He can toss the fraudulent Franklin County ballots that are cast on provisional ballots - it's the law and he'll do it.
I love him.
