Got back a while ago from extending the "middle finger of friendship" to Osama Bin Hidin.

Haven't seen lines like that at my precinct since 92, but that's ok, we never even have rats on the ballot here below the state level :-)

Would be nice to be able to say Bye Bayh

IN Sec. of State

IN election results

Bush will carry the state easily and Daniels will win the governor's race.

Went to the polls today at 6:00 am...it was SO crowded! I was really surprised to see a lot of my neighbors lined up so early out in the rain.

My youngest son has been walking around saying, "Don't BAYH the LIE!!!" It is cracking me up. I totally think he'll be re-elected, but who knows for sure.

I heard a couple libs at the polls this morning saying things like, "I hate Bush, but he's the lesser of two evils." That was refreshing. Not that I'm worried about Indiana, it's just nice to hear *some* sense from liberals.

In the People's Republic of Lake County (behind the lines), they have moved heavily Repub (Schererville) voting precincts around again

The good news is voting in East Chicago is very light (they had a primary last week since the original election in 2003 was tainted with GASP voter fraud)

Waited in line 45 minutes to vote, the longest line I've seen in 30 years. Indiana is a solid red state. In my county, all the county-level offices up for a vote are unopposed Republicans. The only reason Bayh gets reelected is that he is a Democrat in name only. If you follow what his positions are, they are what I would characterize as a moderate Republican.

We were in line for about 90 minutes. This is the first time in 12 years I have been in line to vote for longer than 10 minutes here. I am in Hamilton County, just north of Indy. Strong republican county. It was taking people longer to vote than usual so I am assuming people were not voting a straight ticket..dunno? Lots of moms with kids and only about 3-4 people in the 18-24 age group out of about 50 or so people in line. People were very upbeat, talkative and friendly. Sheesh, I wish we could get rid of Bayh!

South western Indiana is a moderately democratic area, the lines were much longer than usual. I hope heavy turnout helps the repubs for once. Indiana is Bush country, but am concerned about heavy turnout in the battle ground states.

Think your outcomes are right, but I differ on the numbers. Think Bayh will win with the same lead as Bush.

"I wish we could get rid of Bayh!"

I'll help grant your wish in about an hour.

Bye, Bayh!

I'm voting for Daniels also.

Just got back from my polling place in Crown Point. Had to wait in line an hour, but didn't mind at all waiting. The locals said it was very unusual for such a heavy turnout.

You really think Bush will only win by 9% ? I would have thought it would be much bigger than that.

John Hostettler successfully defends his seat. He's been targeted again by the national democrats.

All the polling places I drove by on my way to work in traditionally Republican South Lake County were jammed. I will be leaving work to vote on my lunch hour and will report the turnout when I get back.
