Most of the people I work with are Dems. Whether these polls are valid or not, don't reassure yourself by thinking that Reps haven't voted because they work. Most adults in America, Democrat, Republican, conservative, liberal work.

Remember the polls are raw data and to have been published this early indicates they were not analyzed for demographics, etc. If you want a hint later in the day, listen to Hannity. Unlike Rush he can't hide his feelings. If we're up you'll hear it in his voice. If he's still asking people to get out and vote at 5pm. we're in trouble.

The exit pollsters for AP must be asking all voters exiting who have Kerry bumper sticker on their car...or a "Kerry" pin on their shirt/blouse.

Hi all - I think this is a set up to justify the FRAUD coming!!! "Well, the final count can't be right since we were so ahead in the exit polling... Lawsuit!"

He needs to keep telling people to vote all day, losing or not. Landslide!

I fear they're planning fraud but not through exit polling. Exit polling is notoriously high for Dems in the morning, higher for Pubs in the evening as Pubs tend to vote after work. They'd have to average out the exit polling for the entire day and have some numbers that really disagree with the results to even warrant a news story. I wouldn't worry about them using for fraud purposes.

I was #25 to vote this morning. I always go as soon as they open. I had to actually wait in line which is something really out of the ordinary. People here (in Idaho) were really fired up to get and vote for Bush to drive up the "popular vote" so Lurch couldn't say he won that like Gore did.

A HIGH-LEVEL BUSH CAMPAIGN AIDE [Ramesh Ponnuru]
is pouring cold water on the Drudge "exit-poll" numbers. Points out that the first round of exit polls in 2000 had Bush tied in Colorado when he ended up winning by 9 points. The numbers appear to be unrepresentative samples, also, with a disproportionate number of women. Aide says he feels "pretty good" about OH and FL, Wisconsin is "close," and Iowa "very good." (Drudge, btw, has some Senate numbers up now, showing Thune, Coburn, and Demint up for the Rs, and Castor and Salazar for the Ds.)
