Just heard on the radio some polling places are missing machinese and some just aren't working.
One precinct in St. Tammany is stuck using provisional ballots because of some undisclosed error.
Louisiana lives down to it's expectations again.
True. W in 2004!
Well, believe it or not, I moved here from Florida for a job opportunity in the oilfield. Best decision I ever made though it took some getting used to. As much as I love and miss Flordia, job opportunities there are quite dismal and the pay is even worse. Love the Louisiana cookin' and the people and being two blocks from the Mardi Gras route rocks. Not to mention that this is a Bush town, very few Kerry signs and stickers around here.
I voted at 9am in NOLA and there were only 3 voters there. Our ward serves several precincts, so usually there are 10 to 20 people in several lines. No lines! This is excellent news for Republicans in my district. Coming out I saw several Republican neighbors going in. Ward captain says turnout so far is extremely light, even though weather is currently great. This is the fewest number of voters I have EVER SEEN in the last 28 elections, including run-offs and primaries, and I always vote at the same time in the same place. Early voting may account for some of that, but not all. I have in the past waited anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes to cast a ballot.
