Good to hear the turnout is good....hope we can get Burr into the Senate to help with conservative appointees to the federal bench and the upcoming USSC positions that will most likely come into play.

Loved the bumper sticker too!!

You live close to Halifax? Just curious .....have only made it through your county around three times.

Not sure how old the youngest is but if 3,4, or 5.....your child may learn from a young age the importance of our civic duties.

No, I'm on the coast - Wilmington, NC. (We live in the county outside of the city) The liberals are trying to infiltrate but we haven't made it easy on them. :) Ironically enough I used to live in Halifax county. That's where I got to be so politically active. My college instructor was a staunch Republican and ran for sheriff of the county. I was very involved with his campaign and I loved every minute of it! :)

My youngest is two and a half. He came with me to the voting booth but I couldn't go back in with my husband cause I voted earlier in the day so I took him out front with me and we enjoyed the company of the Republican workers. My oldest is in 2nd grade at the school that serves as our polling place and my middle is in K at the same school. It's a fantastic school - a lot of people from my church also work there. I'm very involved with our boys education because they are both on the autism spectrum and I want to know what they are being taught - regardless.

When the other two were younger they went with us to vote. Today the lines were very long and it's hard on my eldest to be in crowds so we voted while he they were in school.
