Hi folks, I thought it would be a good idea to have a live Rush thread on the eve of the election. :)
Here is the final Zogby for Ohio: Ohio.. Bush 48 percent to 44 percent. We'll be fine. Just get out and vote if you haven't already.
Which is the topic of discussion for every show, actually. lol
If it goes to the house...each state gets one vote - so they are saying that the makeup of each state delegation would have an impact...but Reps hold more majorities in states than Dems do. In a nutshell, if it goes to the house, Bush wins. Period.
Comparing Kerry's speeches to OBL's rantings. Sounds like they have the same speech writer.
Calling Tommy Franks a liar is just disgusting. It's like that moron the other night calling the SBVT liars. Putting down the military, sounds all too familiar to me. I'm with him, I'm disappointed we couldn't bury Kerry by 20%. There is no way this traitor, who I suspect has a BCD or Undesireable discharge from the Navy, is within 2% of becoming POTUS. What has happened to our country?
now Rush is playing sound bites from OBL and Kerry.....they say the same things.......
I wouldn't worry about this. If it does go to the House, you'll be much more concerned about the left burning your city to the ground than parliamentary procedures in the House.
You have to remember he predicted a Bush landslide in 2000, and he does NOT want to get on record for any prediction, but he has hinted on many times that he thinks it won't be close.
Ha! Rush playing OBL sound bites vs. Kerry sound bites. OBL echoing Kerry.
Nothing......Kerry is close in the polls because the media have covered for him since day one.
Why is anyone surprised by this? The leaders of the Democrats today are the same people who wanted the North Vietnamese to win back in the 70's.
Of course they back this country's enemies. They always have.
If it goes to the house each state gets one vote. If the state's delegation is controlled by a majority of either party, presumably that state will vote for that party's candidate. If the state's delegation is tied the state will most likely abstain. Unless there is a major shakeup in the house, Bush wins quite handily. The VP is decided by the senate, with each senator getting a vote. It is possible to have a Bush/Edwards administration. Wouldn't that be fun?
Yes I agree, didn't one commentator promise that the media support was worth 15% points? This should not be close but it is and that is what has me concerned.
Just thinking the same thing! OBL's speech sounds like a campaign commercial for Kerry.
I hope his "gut" is right. I have been away at a conference for the past 10 days and haven't had time to watch the news or anything. Actually, it's been kind of a relief because I hate the good news/bad news swings of the constant polling. I'm just praying hard that we can pull this election through. I can't even begin to imagine what the next four years will be like if sKerry wins.
Think it can't happen? Do you remember the Texas redistricting nightmare?
TS
Actually, I think he feels partly responsible for the closeness of the result four years ago by being overly optimistic. I'll never forget him pounding the table on election day, after he knew it was close, saying "turnout, turnout, turnout." Four years ago, that word---"turnout"---would have meant "we lose." Today, I'm convinced it means "we win."
