Kerry voters - Wednesday, November 3rd from 4am until 5am.

Bush voters Tuesday November 2nd. Preferably some time during business hours.

Well, Hawaii polls close at 6:00pm HST = 11:00pm EST. Hopefully it'll be "over" before then tho'. :-)

Here is my revised list of poll closing times, this time alphabetized.

1800 - IN (part), KY (part)
1900 - FL (part), GA, IN (part), KY (part), NH, SC, VT, VA
1930 - OH, NC, WV
2000 - AL, CT, DE, DC, FL (part), IL, KS, ME, MD, MA, MI (part), MS, MO, NJ, OK, PA, TN, TX (part)
2030 - AR
2100 - AZ, CO, LA, MI (part), MN, NE, NM, NY, RI, SD, TX (part), WI, WY
2200 - ID (part), IA, MT, NE, ND (part), OR (part), UT
2300 - CA, HI, ID (part), ND (part), OR (part), WA
2400 - AK (part)
0100 - AK (part)

And yes, there some minor variations from this list - check out the web page for details -

http://www.uselectionatlas.org/INFORMATION/ARTICLES/ElectionNight2004/pe2004elecnighttime.php

These times are when we will hear the "projected" winners based on exit polls, or whether the race is "too close to call". If we hear at 1930 EST that OH has gone for W, that's really great news. If we hear at 2000 EST that we've taken FL, we can breathe a sigh of relief. If we hear at 2000 that we've taken PA, we can put on our party hats.

Indiana is 6:00 AM- 6:00 PM. There is the matter of the time change. SW Indiana and, I think, NW Indiana are on Central time. The rest of the state is on Eastern time.

You want ALL the states are just the one in which you live?
You can always type into google search " _____(fill in blank)State Board of Elections".

Your state board of elections web site should have polling times and places.

Here in Maryland..it is 7am to 8pm.

And remember--in IN, the bars are closed until 6:00 PM on Election Day. Like that would make a difference for some people!

The polls will stay open as long as Kerry's army of 10,000 lawyers say so or they'll go to court! Wouldn't want to disinfranchise anyone ya' know.
