Just when did the IAEA last verify the presence of the stockpiles of RDX, HMX, and PETN?

Just when did the IAEA last verify the presence of the stockpiles of RDX, HMX, and PETN?

From the CNN Website:

http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/meast/10/28/iraq.explosives/index.html

According to the Pentagon, IAEA inspectors last visited the complex on March 15, 2003, and they left the country two days later. On March 19, the invasion began.

When a U.S. military team arrived to inspect the site on May 8, they did not find the explosives.

U.S. troops who came through Al-Qaqaa in April also did not see the material, although Pentagon officials concede they were not asked to make a thorough search of the complex.

Pentagon officials have said they cannot rule out the possibility that the explosives were looted.

But they said they believe it is more likely the explosives were moved before the war because it would have been difficult to move that much material in a war zone crawling with U.S. troops without detection. (Mystery continues)

The aerial photo the Pentagon released Thursday evening shows two trucks parked outside of one of the 56 bunkers in the Al-Qaqaa complex on March 17, two days before the invasion.

The photo shows a large tractor-trailer loaded with white containers; a smaller truck is parked behind it.

Pentagon officials concede the photo does not prove that the explosives were being moved.

From the United Nations website:

http://www0.un.org/apps/news/story.asp?NewsID=12333&Cr=iraq&Cr1=

The missing explosives include 195 metric tons of HMX that had been under IAEA seal, as well as 141 tons of RDX and almost six tons of PETN, both subject to regular monitoring of stock levels, Mr. ElBaradei says.

The IAEA last verified the presence of those stockpiles in January 2003.

Lets let this RED HERRING stink someplace else. It was a UN trojan horse arranged by the DNC and it rotted before it arrived.

No one will CARE after Tuesday.. it's a trumped up story.

When Bush Spanks Kerry on Tuesday, the NEXT TIME this information will be needed is when the dems try to impeach Bush for winning two wars. The little weasels that run THAT charade, will be turned out of office with the ever so popular fad of voter fraud... two can play... heck anyone can play that game.. It's going to bite them in the butt. Let's see.. all we need to do is take over a few small countries and prisons, and head out with our absentee ballots... You know, let's let the Iraqi people vote in the 2006 Senate elections why don't we??

It was January of 2003 that IAEA did a FULL inspection and inventory. In March of that year they did a spot check, that is, they checked the seals on the bunkers only.

The TV station (ABC affiliate) who had an embedded news crew who made tapes (supposedly) of the bunkers are trying to provide support FOR the weapons being there. Their tape, reportedly dated in mid/late April 2003, shows some of the plastic explosives.

The trouble with all these reports is that they may not all be talking about the same timeframe nor about the exact same bunkers. Saddam has hundreds of munitions sites throughout the country. Many of the munitions sites has multiple bunkers. The Al Qaqa (sp) facility was several square miles in size.

I recently read a classified report - the unclassified subject line states that the Iraqis had been able to duplicate the IAEA seals and remove explosives in the past. The last real check, then, was in January. Plenty of time to move HMX to Syria.

The media has reported on this story from the standpoint that the IAEA all but checked every single ounce of explosives in March 2003...which is a bit different from the IAEA just visiting the place in March 2003 with the last full inspection being in January 2003.

Another poster commented on the Iraqi military duplicating the seals. Wouldn't that be against UN rules? :) :) :)

Lets let this RED HERRING stink someplace else. It was a UN trojan horse arranged by the DNC and it rotted before it arrived.

I posted this because the red herring appeared to have a few scales missing during its appearance. January 2003 is decades away from March or April of 2003 in terms of military preparations.

We do know from Gulf War One that Saddam LOVED his RDX. Why the information below was not brought to the forefront in the current war I do not know.

It kind of makes you wonder where the RDX came from in the bombing plot stopped by an alert Canadian border guard.

1999 Dec 14, In Seattle Ahmed Ressam (32) was arrested after crossing the border at Port Angeles from Canada with a car trunk with over 150 pounds of bomb-making materials that included 200 pounds of urea, timing devices and a bottle of RDX, cyclotrimethylene trinitramine. Canadian authorities later issued an arrest warrant for Abdelmajed Dahoumane for possessing or making explosives. Dahoumane was arrested in Algeria In Oct, 2000. In 2001 Ressam admitted that he planned to detonate a bomb at the LA Int’l. Airport. Mokhtar Haouari provided fake ID and $3,000 to Ressam. Haouari was sentenced to 24 years in prison in 2002.
